Did u read the bonus chapters?
Also I’m kinda confused…why did Wrath say in previous books Pride’s wife and her sister…I remember him wondering if Pride saw his wife and her sister in every murdered witch…
First of all, I read the bonus chapters the moment I saw you asking. I was screaming for a whole minute.
Second, I was thinking the same thing.
So, here are my thoughts.
Are we sure that the unamed wife of Pride and Lucia are the same?
I want to state that Vittoria was the one who killed the witches before they could marry Pride, thus lifting his curse, which would had lead to him going to search for Lucia. Vittoria had tore their hearts. (very symbolic, if you ask me) And in chapter 24 Claudia said :
‘’ Sometimes I dream. Of a life I think I might have lived. A man I might have loved. But it always ends in a nightmare. With him ripping out my heart. Other times it’s me who tears it from my own chest. Or sometimes even his.”
Just leaving that here and I continue with this quote from the bonus chapter (ONE Prince of Wrath {Originally chapter one from Kingdom of the Wicked}) from kotc:
‘‘Years ago, there were rumors they’d [Greed and Envy] hepled murder Pride’s wife and her sister. The attack was so violent and brutal, there were only a few strands of bloody hair left from each of them.’‘
We know that there was NOTHING left behind from Lucia, and we haven’t any indication that she has a sister. Leading me to the conclusion that:
As we all know, Vittoria is the only other being that matches him in a lot of ways (Wrath’s words). While Vittoria was in a somewhat ‘commited’ relationship with Domenico, she didn’t have a problem taking others to bed (p.e. Alexei).
And in order for Pride to be free of his curse, he had to marry a witch. He would marry her despite the fact that Lucia might be alive. So who is to say that he didn’t marry Nicoletta before her betrayal, the way Wrath did with Emilia?
In the same bonus chapter that I mentioned before, there’s this quote:
‘’I wondered if he saw his cursed lover and her sister in all the slain women as I did.’’
I will leave you to your own conclusions, dear fellow fans.
Thank to my brother who bought me a book about great man. ❤
