Brb, I'm going to read myself into another life.
I'm back and armed with a new read! Life has been incredibly stressful lately, so I had to take a break and step away from everything for a while. Thanks to everyone who supported and followed in my absence 💜
1/75 Hard Reading Challenge
Here I am with my attempt to do the 75 Hard Reading Challenge!!!
I’m starting this challenge with Arsène Lupin e o triângulo de ouro (e-book) and Uma magia destilada em veneno (physical copy), both books I’ve already started and want to finish. My main goal with this challenge is to finish the books I’m currently reading (and there’s a lot of started books!)
I just find this reading challenge and I'm feeling this is very interesting and it will help me in my current reality (I really want to finish some books and want to build a working out habit), so I'm feeling like doing it.
So, I'm setting up a little for it, but i can't wonder: have you tried this reading challenge yet?
literary kinsey scale time
which best describes your reading habits? this includes reading for school or work, not just reading for fun
0: exclusively read fiction
1: primarily read fiction, only incidentally read nonfiction
2: primarily read fiction but more than incidentally read nonfiction
3: equally read fiction and nonfiction
4: primarily read nonfiction but more than incidentally read fiction
5: primarily read nonfiction, only incidentally read fiction
6: exclusively read nonfiction
X: i don’t read
i’m just curious what mix of fiction and nonfiction the average tumblrina is consuming
Fantasy November Weekend Challenges
Weekend 3: Fantasy World You’d Live In
I would happily go live in Middle-earth. Particularly I would like to live in the Shire, in a nice, cozy hobbit-hole.
today i found a super hard reading challenge from a booktuber and as if I didn't already had so many ongoing books on my reading pile (that i haven't finished yet) and doing other reading projects, I am IN FACT thinking about joining this really hard reading challenge.
I think I might have a few loose screws
Total Focus Challenge 5/5 days
Yesterday was a tiny little bit chaotic. We had a couple of guys recording stuff at my work for some kind of interview and they were there the whole day. After lunch the took a lot of B-roll from the workspace I usually space and I was trying my best to not look directly at the camera while faking I was working hard.
After work my mom was tired enough to ask me and my sister to go out to eat, which was great hahah we went to a sushi place close to home and then went to the mall to buy some house stuff my mom was needing.
And it’s a wrap from the 5 days challenge!! I will now start a longer one because I feel like so!
Not at all! And sometimes it can open you up to some great experiences – my dad is a slow reader, but he loves books, so he and my mother have regular story time; she reads to him and does all the voices, too. (I just turned them on to Naomi Novik’s Temeraire books!)
Happy reading!
Petra
All reading is good reading!

"That's what I love about reading: one tiny thing will interest you in a book, and that tiny thing will lead you to another book, and another bit there will lead you onto a third book. It's geometrically progressive–all with no end in sight, and for no other reason than sheer enjoyment." – Mary Ann Shaffer, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society
i've never done this kind of post before but here's one for any albertans out there:
the alberta government is trying to get the ability to ban some LGBT books from school libraries
they're saying they want to remove "inappropriate" material from school libraries, but i think we know where that slippery slope leads by now. queer books are the target, as their examples include fun home (alison bechdel), flamer (mike curato), gender queer (maia kobabe)... i'm certain they'll consider any mention of queer existence as "inappropriate" if they get this policy through.
here's a brief survey where you can tell them how displeased you are and/or to fuck off
i love you all, be safe, be proud
for those without times on, this is as of the 27th of may, 2025
Total Focus Challenge 4/5 days
Yesterday was a workday so I did the most I could from my daily goals.
I’m currently working for a event but there’s nothing much to do right now and I have a pretty good guess that the majority of things to do will come closer to the event, so right now I have to pretend I’m working while occupying my time with other things.
Total Focus Challenge 3/5 days
Omg I was going to post this earlier today but better late than never!!
So, my third day was definitely better than my second day lmao I still wanted the comfort from my boyfriend but I had stuff to do, like my lunch for the week!! Only did for Monday and Tuesday but it’s better than take outs! (the photo is the middle of the process of me making my salads)
Also I’ve learned that if I do eat salad first and then protein and carbs, I won’t feel sleepy after lunch so I am now forcing myself to ear salad for a greater good! (Who would thought this was going to be THE SOLUTION for me making sure I’m eating my greens everyday hahahahahah)
I finished one more module of my Social Media Manager course and started a new little project (that I have no idea how long it is going to take, but I’m so far enjoying the process). Probably going to talk more about this project in the future. Right now I’m learning a bunch of things and watching lots of youtube videos.
