hi! for the book asks, 6 and 24?
Thanks for the ask!
6. Any new favorite authors?
S. B. Barnes - I read all three currently published books this year and need more
J.J. Mulder - I'm on the fifth/final book in the SCU Hockey series and I started in November
Jemma Croft - I've only read two book so far, the Try For Love rugby series, but they were both very good!
I read my first Akwaeke Emezi book this year (You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty) and feel like their backlist could be a rabbit hole I fall down at some point
I'm sure there are more, but those were the ones that came to mind immediately
24. What new releases are you looking forward to in 2026?
Oh, good, this will help me organize my thoughts about this!
How to Fake It in Society by KJ Charles - I hope this is the year I complete her backlist!
Star Shipped by Cat Sebastian - see above. I'm much closer to finishing Sebastian's, though, I think this book and the last two books in the Regency Impostors series are all I have left.
Our Dining Table: Seconds, Please Vol. 2 by Mita Ori - Volume One of this continuation of the first volume was one of the cutest things I've ever read in my LIFE
A Lady for All Seasons by TJ Alexander
And Now, Back to You by B. K. Borison
Nobody's Baby by Olivia Waite (next book in the Dorothy Gentleman novella series)
No Matter What by Cara Bastone
New to me authors: Bromantasy by Maire Roche and Nemesis Mine by Amy Archer both seem intriguing
Even though some recent releases by Emmy Sanders haven't hit for me, I'm very excited for the next installment of the Elite 8 Studio series (Bruiser, I think?)
The next installment of The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter comes out soon
Impact Zone by Keira Andrews, very excited to be getting another book so soon from her
I think that's enough . . . for now, heh
