I want to be a better person. Be more productive. Submit all my work on time. But I don't. Idk. Now that I am no longer in the same unsafe mental space, and I have recovered to much extent, I see how much of my time has been lost...so much time that I could've been using for reading and learning and...

I am struggling. No longer mentally, but picking up after my past self. Its a tedious task knowing I am waayyyy behind most people in my field who are in the same place as me. It's okay though. I ll take more time. I ll get there. To my past self, all I want to say is, good job, you survived, I know you couldn't move forward because you were somehow precariously balancing all of yourself and holding everything from falling apart, so thank you for not letting go.

This isn't a race. There's no starting line. It's winding passages in the forest where you suddenly find yourself airdropped, with the promising scent of campfire wafting from a place deep in the woods. It's rough terrain and you have all the time in the world to find your way. You can be a lil late to your own party. Be fashionable like that!

I went book shopping for some retail therapy & was browsing the new releases & staff recommendation notes. The Last by Hanna Jameson sounded like a typical post-apocalyptic book & I was going to put it down but then I saw a reference to survivors staying in a fancy infamous hotel. And then I saw that there's a murder in the house & a killer among the survivors. So of course I had to buy it & I plan on reading it right away. I love genre bending books & I have high hopes for this one. Have you read this book or heard about it?
