Thanks for the tag @notanandalitebandit , appreciate it! I really liked your snippet. The relationships between Nadejda and the Sanctuary crew, even Codsworth being messy, strained, complicated, was such a realistic choice and I so rarely see it!
In return, I'll tag @queen-raven-blackwood @r0b1ee @theskeletoninthegarden @captainfairygodmother @myarmsaretoolong @breadandblankets @wastelandbfs
Basically, just post an excerpt of something you're working on! Any creative project, whether it be writing, art, sculpture, fiber arts, whatever! Then tag other people whom you'd like to see something they're working on! No pressure to participate!
And here's mine:
He took one step, and then another, and then Nick Valentine, synth detective, collapsed to the ground in the middle of the market in Diamond City.
Although it may have seemed like it from the average bystander's perspective, and despite some evidence to the contrary, Nick was not dead. He didn't move, not a single actuator moving out of position as the sun shone directly into his eyes. It didn't hurt, but was certainly inconvenient. When he felt the pointed kick that moved his legs and not much else, he had no real idea who it was. His audio input crackled and shrieked. He could barely make out the sound of people talking and laughing. He could see a pair of shoes. But beyond all that, there was the looming worry. How badly was he hurt? Would Arturo see him and stop?
Nick attempted to move the gaze of his eyes and nothing happened. He tried to move them in the opposite direction, and then they moved toward the first direction. If he could have, he would have scrunched his brow in consternation. This wasn't much information and only opened the possibilities up further. His neural pathways could be scrambled, and sending signals the wrong ways, there could be lag affecting the movement of commands. He could theoretically be paralyzed on his right side.
Absently, Nick noticed that he was panicking.

Today I'm tagging @ezekiel13 , @jackcab0t , and @herachicwannabe ! Anyone else who follows me is welcome as well!
This is a tag game where, if you are tagged, you can reblog or make your own post, featuring a WIP of your own, be it writing, art, sculpture, or something entirely different! All forms of creation are welcome here. Then feel free to tag a friend, or leave it open to the public.
Here's a piece of my current WIP! I straight up wrote this bit yesterday!
The sun was going down, then, and the shadows of the trees darkened the landscape, until it wasn’t a forest any more. The leaves of the trees were windows in skyscrapers, way, way up there. So many, they made a whole city, and every building had so many lights coming from it, it had to be more than the stars in the sky. He only got to think about stars for a moment, before the lights in the windows became the visual static in his brain as he relayed with Deacon away from the Institute. He walked through the crowd, and then he saw her. There was his mom! She had just left him for a bit, and now she was back, and they were going to go home together, be a family again. Only that wasn’t right. He knew that. She didn’t want to be called mom, she wanted to be called Nora, and she didn’t know him. He just wanted her to.
WIP... now it's sunday oops
Thanks @notanandalitebandit and @herachicwannabe for the tags!
I loved your snippet, @notanandalitebandit , and it was so fun how I figured out the fandom three sentences in. Haven't played the Outer Worlds 2 yet, which it might be referencing? But it was a good snippet nonetheless.
And thanks, @herachicwannabe , for making me care about Kellogg, and make me more interested in the Institute birds.
In return, I'll tag @outpostzimonja @ayupimqueen and @oraeliaa !

That all being said, here's mine:
It was weird, being outside. Everything was so big, so wide and open. Sometimes he just wanted to lay on his back and look at the sky for hours. He knew he would get lost in it. That was probably a weird thing to think, wasn’t it? Did normal kids feel like the sky was beautiful and terrifying at the same time?
