You all should go watch this! TheThirdBill is my favorite YouTuber and he does such good breakdown and reviews. I legitimately have so much fun watching them.
(His Trying To Stan series is also epic but that's not what this post is about)
Types of characters I have: humans, anthros, characters that shapeshift between human and feral, fantasy, automaton/android
Extra: I make gifs and digital art mostly, though i might do a few scans of traditional watercolor or acrylic paintings if i have the time and inclination. All my refs for my characters were made or commissioned quite a while ago when I didn't know how to do digital art. I love my characters so much. They're in order on my page of who I would most like to receive art of first, but I would appreciate any art so much. I do revenge for any attack made on me.

imagine if Kiri had been born human, from Grace's human body (had she been kept alive in a comatose state) or her avatar (the human body conceived the child while the avatar gestated it), doesn't truly matter.
do y'all think she would have been treated like Spider, or would her existence make everyone involved look like total hypocrites? cause I think we all know the answer to that one.
the double standard goes way deeper than "he was human! it would be too hard for Jake or another Na'vi or Norm with his family to care for him!" like people try and argue.
like let's just acknowledge they doomed and abandoned that boy cause of his father and move on.
it was never about Spider being human. if anyone gave even a speck of a shit about that kid, he would not have spent 16 years as an orphan with no one but siblings he couldn't call his own and fosters that never actually gave a shit about him.
and had Kiri been born human, she never would have faced a day of that treatment. Jake and Neytiri, Norm, all the rest of them, would have moved mountains to care for her. like any child deserved. but Spider wasn't any other child, and they allowed, outright, him to suffer because of his father.
(a draft I've had in my Tumblr blog since March 31st, 2023. Surprisingly it can in fact get better. Not in all areas, not all at once, but I do feel more visible and have more friends)
I have had a problem with many Discord servers where as an autistic person it is just very overwhelming.
Constant caps lock can make me feel as if I'm being shouted at. Gifs and reaction images all the time confuse me and have me wondering what they mean. People can be frustrated when I keep asking for clarification on things they say and references they make. Hundred or more members means people are constantly having multiple conversations that are hard to follow.
I am attempting to create a place for me, people like me, and people who have similar feelings about large discord servers. It will be a place we strive to make everyone feel heard, like they have their turn to talk and will be listened to. Where if they don't understand, someone will explain and it won't be a bother.
Somewhere where you can indulge in a space where no one is torn down for their like of the show, or torn down because they wish the show would have expanded on something or done better. We all try our best to be respectful, kind and considerate.
There are channels and roles for sharing fanart and fanfic that you make. There is a channel to recommend fanworks that other people make. There is a channel to quarantine spoilers for episode 9 that will be up for a while until the events in episode 9 are more common knowledge.
There will be fun voice chat events including Frantic Fanfic, Gartic Phone, and an event the day that the finale comes out on Youtube.
Repost if your account is a safe anti spoiler place of Tadc, We shall NOT spread spoilers of EP 9 till it comes out on YouTube. Lets make This last experience enjoyable for everyone!
Ersatz_Einstein on AO3, or @justletmeon12 on Tumblr, has a wonderful sequel/spinoff series to his extraordinary TADC fanfic series Questions and Answers, which is called Questions and Answers Extras.
The latest entry in this spinoff series is called I Don’t Like… Myself, and is about Caine exploring himself in new ways.
I recommend reading the other works for context, if you haven’t yet, and I super recommend all of both series as a great read for any TADC Caine enjoyer or even just TADC enjoyer.
Anyway, that is all really just preamble. Here is some fanart for Chapter 11 of the latest fic!
P.s. : real ones know that there are four avatars in the selection screen ;)
The start (first draft) of Chapter 5 of my Torchwood fic!
Then, he woke up. Jack took a great gasp of air, breath flowing smoothly into his lungs as if nothing had ever been wrong.
The bed below him was still stained bright red, where his face had been pushed into the mattress by the sheer force of his coughs.
Jack pulled himself up, eyes wide as he stared at his own blood. He coughed, experimentally, and braced, even as he felt no pain. He just looked down at the bed, pushed up onto his forearms.
So. Something had been put into the room. A vent in the wall, perhaps? A gas was the logical answer as to his sudden fit, and theoretically could even explain the miraculous recovery, if some form of antidote or painkiller could be turned gaseous, and sent through the same vent as the poison.
He could feel the blood caked onto his face and lips, a damp, cloying substance that he wanted to rip off.
Instead, he took off his shirt, already splashed with red, leaving him clad only in boxers and white socks. He lifted the material, glad that it was a softer fabric than the bed, and used it to scrub at his face, until his skin was raw, but no longer bloody. Then, he placed the shirt, now more scarlet than white, where the jeans sat, and picked those up.
Thank you for tagging me!!! I'll tag @twosides--samecoin @r0bee @trans-moth-man @mythologeekwriter /nf <3
Finally a different WIP to share for once!! This is the klance section of a longer fic (that wasn't supposed to be long but is spiralling out of my control bc I did not plan it out) and it's kind of a first draft but I edit as I add so I never know what counts as first
Tagging (no pressure) @bookwermthings @vaultkniqht and @wings-of-angels if you would like to share any WIPs :p
Woah, Ez and Robee know each other?? Did I know this information?? So cool
Your writing is so good, Bee!! I couldn't stop reading. I don't know Voltron at all but it was really intriguing.
Anyway, here's my WIP for totally not wednesday
Shaun and Nick drew together for a while. Shaun was practicing the different instruments. He assumed that that was what Nick was doing, too, until Shaun had finished drawing the oboe and looked over at Nick's paper.
Most of the page was filled up with a sketch of a young woman. Her nose and lips were filled in, but her eyes were noticeably absent from the drawing.
"Who's that?" asked Shaun.
"Nobody you need to worry about," said Nick.
"Mister Valentine," Shaun admonished, "You promised to talk about where you were. Does she have to do with it?"
Nick sighed. "You're right, I did promise. Her name is Jenny, and she played clarinet in the marching band back in college. She was... somebody important to the original Nick Valentine, and in a way, she visits me now and then."
"In your memories?"
"In my memories."
Shaun passed his sheet of drawings of instruments and band uniforms over to Nick to look at, and started working on another page. He wanted to have a reason to not have to make eye contact when he asked his next question.
"Does it ever get confusing, your memories of being you, and your memories of being Nick before the war?" Shaun asked, carefully sketching the collar of another band uniform.
"I wouldn't say that. They've got a different feel to them, the older memories. A different color, almost, or maybe a different taste."
Shaun's face sunk into a frown. He had hoped, maybe a little selfishly, that they had something in common.
"But," Nick continued, "It wasn't always that way. In the beginning, back when I first was in this hunk of-" he made a coughing sound before continuing, "this new metal body, I had a harder time telling the old memories from the new. Mostly because I didn't have many new ones yet. Everything here, in the present, felt like it wasn't real, and that it would be yanked away any moment."
Bingo participants have now had three weeks to plan and write their stories! We're almost halfway through the allotted writing time! If you are participating in Fallout Fanfic Bingo, and want to share something about your progress or a quote from the story, feel free to make a post and tag this blog in it to be reglogged, or to submit a post or ask to this blog!
Anyone who submits a quote from their story to this blog within the next two weeks, with character names in it to help differentiate who the story is about, will receive a drawing of the moment in the story from me!
To make sure your submission is noted, you can: message the blog, reply to this post, reblog this post, submit an ask, or submit a post that contains what you are sharing about the story and something like the phrase "I'd like to submit this for the three week progress post!"
If you would like to share something about how far you've gotten, but would not like any fanart of your story, please include something like "no fanart please!" in your submission.
Good job on the writing so far, and best of luck on your bingos!
