First time doing a liveblog and im unfamilar with the original magipack fic so apologies if i make some errors in formatting or canon!

Chapter 1:

-THE PARTY PACT IS GENIUS NAMING!!!!

-“It’s not that.” Celebatori sighed. “Brutto, or ‘Buzz’, as he truly went by, has long since become incapable of harnessing darkness to that degree ever since he was saved. The darkness we’re picking up on is merely a remnant of his power.” (YEAH. BUZZ WOULD BE THE EVIL PRECURE GENERAL. yknow the type. The kind that's the young annoying boy who is always pissed and cocky- think Ira, Daruizen, et al)

-jolipare sounds like tippet with the way he's interacting- i love stuffy british men!

-Misty sighed. Okay, so Pippri and Jolipare didn’t understand Jackbox’s… ways. (me when i have trouble worldbuilding jackbox live shows in the robodoki verse XD)

Chapter 3:

-i got emetophobia confused with arachnophobia for a brief second- still appriciate the disclaimer but god i need sleep lmao

-oh hey, another avery! @whocaresifwearecrazy and i were talking about this earlier.

-love the descriptions of the characters!!! You're good with language!

-oh god. is the master mentalist gonna be corrupted.

-...okay, not MM. Nice red herring! 99% sure it's Guy Towers- I see a LOTTA orange in their designs (mine included XD)

-“I already gotcha!" “YOU PROBABLY DON’T!” (they seem like siblings in the best way possible!)

-“I SWEAR to the stars I’ve seen a show like this before,” Flare shrugged. “Didn’t it involve butterflies and-” (okay, colored, real talk. i give you FULL permission to reference robodoki like this. in fact, I ENCOURAGE IT!!! WOOOOOOOOO!)

-okay but saying colored like that makes me feel wrong actually don't take that outta context :P

-JERRI WITH THE ONE G IS A BARRIER MAIDEN- THAT MAKES SUCH THEMATIC SENSE AND MY ENGLISH LIT DEGREE HEART IS GOING KYUN KYUN RIGHT NOW!!!!

-cosmos is such a fucking madlad. also highlights the reason why i never drink coffee.

-“DON’T GIVE AWAY YOUR IDENTITY, PRI!" “WHEN WERE THERE EVER ANY STAKES FOR THAT, ANYWAY?!” (PFFFFFFFFFFFFFT! Yeah I gave up on that after the 10th chapter or so on my end LMAO)

you know what i want in a magical girl anime?

you know that episode of healin good precure where Cure Fontaine/Chiyu helps a young girl from the americas named emily (who's staying at her family's hot spring inn) to adjust to japanese culture before the megabyogen shows up?

i want that but it's a american tourist who's just...not fluent at japanese at all.

so there's a language barrier involved, so the magical girl and tourist have to communicate using the basic stuff in the tourist's guidebook and the magical girl's own limited english knowledge. they still become friends at the end and stuff thanks to the magical girl's help.

bonus points if the humans turn into the magical girl monsters of the week and the person doing the corrupting is told, nonchalantly and with no fear, just the slow pronuncation and the fumbling of a japanese-to-english guide, that she/he/they don’t speak japanese.

even more bonus points if the magical girl baddie proceeds to say YOU ARE DOOMED, I AM BAD GUY or something in broken english and it freaks the tourist out enough for the baddie to fully corrupt them.

a bit of personal writing advice

i remember when i was considering making a new story with aianna after leaving a server that had some issues where I used the character to rp, i remembered some advice from a book on how to write comics.

it said that if you really think about it, batman is an absurd story. guy in a batsuit fights crime against a clown, a guy with two faces, a cat in latex and a scarecrow.

and yet it became a cult hit. so the book said to never doubt any idea you have bc it could be the next sleeper hit.

and even though i read it as a child that advice has stuck with me, and im glad it did. Now @magicalrobodokiofficial is one of my most popular series (304 hits, while not that much to some people, is more than twice the views i've gotten before, and on deviantart i'd get 100-200 views per chapter).
