• An American Whovian Reviews: ‘Timelash’ by Glen McCoy.

HOLY. SHIT. So, like, this story is regarded as one of THE WORST Classic Who serials — ever.

The Doctor and Peri travel Karfel where people dress, like, they got hooked up w/ Kanye West’s post apocalyptic fashion line. At some point, the Doctor scoops up this charmingly annoying twat named Herbert — as they do battle with this half human/half reptile dude named Borad.

Peri spends the whole serial screaming fer her life — from a giant sock puppet.

Also, THAT ANDROID.

• What’s Dope: So, like, if you go into this serial WITH THE LOWEST EXPECTATIONS EVER — yer going to love it.

'Timelash’ is, basically, 'The Room’ of Classic Who stories. There’s REALLY bad acting, sets, effects, costumes, etc. However — it’s what makes it so fucking dope! It’s the quintessential “so bad — it’s good” Doctor Who story.

Like, I can’t recommend 'Timelash’ enough; it’s so much fucking fun.

Like, I guess if taken seriously when it first came out, I can understand the hatred; but as time has gone by — you just gotta accept it fer what it is.

• Not So Dope: I feel bad fer Nicola Bryant in this serial. Seriously, like, all she does here is scream at the top of her lungs.

Like, that’s basically it fer her.

• The Verdict: The Sixth Doctor era gets shit on pretty hard, man. However, I think there a lotta gems there — 'Timelash’, actually, being one of them. With my purchasing of this serial — I now own every Sixth Doctor televised story. Well, 'cept fer the “special” 'Dimensions in Time; but I’m not going there. I’ve seen that shit show.

I digress, watch 'Timelash’! Enjoy it fer it’s campiness! Laugh at it — and marvel at all of its B Movie-esque glory! Four outta four stars, yo.
