My problem with Eida’s charm versus Team 7.

Sarada literally directly points out the crush Mitsuki has on Boruto & how they’re both fixated on him in one of the chapters so I call bull shit on this whole loving Boruto is the reason Sarada & Sumire are immune (to Eida’s shinjutsu) theory, it just sounds too simplistic and like retconning Mitsuki’s feelings (which I guess it could be given it’s Kishimoto/Ikemoto and the manga industry & how they’re always downplaying Mitsuki on the writing team 😤). Tired of hearing that the reason is shipping; that’s silly. Sumire has a direct Ōtsutsuki connection via Nue and her chakra/jutsu so that absolutely makes sense for her. I’m waiting for a more logical explanation that doesn’t throw Mitsuki’s character once again under the bus as to why he’s affected and Sarada isn’t. I just don’t think amatonormativity is the answer, but then again we have the Boruto series; so, maybe that sadly is the only reason rather than something cool that we don’t know about yet. Also I guess Mitsuki isn’t Ōtsutsuki enough? I’m gonna need these writers to make it make sense some day honestly. 👀

So confession time, I can't stand Sumire's canon hair. It's so hard to draw and makes no sense. So along with tweaking her canon outfit a bit, I gave her a different hair style that I like a lot better. Enjoy~
