So what you're saying is that instead of the 100 endings LotR had this only had one? I know most of us complained about the number of endings the first trilogy had but what a way to go too far in the opposite.

well that's how i felt because after the battle there is a "minute of silence" for the dead and then bilbo says goodbye to dwarves and goes back to shire i think it's one ending, there's nothing like 'what happened to the dwarves, thranduil or to bard and the people of lake town', and i would be fine with ending like this but not when you show as so much story involving these characters and then be like 'the book is about bilbo so the ending is about bilbo'
