Ever Diverging Paths: BotW Rewrite
I rewrote out some of Breath of the Wild for my Ever Diverging Paths and thought I would share it!
Mentioning bits that differ for Ever Diverging Paths so there's no confusion. Anything not mentioned is the same as/similar to the original. The Scaled Protectors are Ever Diverging Paths' name for the Seven Heroines.

Link grew up in Hateno Village with his family. Over 100 years later, he ends up buying his childhood home.
Zelda had a hard time using her abilities at first. This is mainly because she was part Terran. What added to her difficulties was her being harshly pressured since a young age. Over time, her powers slowly came through but it didn't fully manifest until she and Link were in a life or death situation.
Astor was an unwilling prophet of Majora, having precognition bestowed upon him. He is the Fortune Teller mentioned.
The Four Divine Beasts were made to aid the Wolfborn and Doveheart seal away Calamity Ganon by containing its obscure form. The Fifth Divine Beast is made to distract and impede Calamity Ganon.

General Changes ~ Sheikah technology is instead called Lomei technology. ~ The Monks aren't present, simply a recording they left behind; this includes Maz Koshia. ~ There are more memories shown as Link progresses, slowly regaining his memory on his own. These primarily take place during the main questline (showing several scenes from AoC, some altered to understand the original story of a century ago). In addition, the Illusory Realm doesn't exist; any extra dialogue will be things Link naturally remembers. ~ The Sheikah have a Champion, Impa, and Divine Beast, Vahh Imtassa, which resembles a tanuki. Vahh Imtassa isn't as large as the others but is far more mobile. It was recovered late into the lead up to the Great Calamity, and so only manages to be operational several years after the Great Calamity. ~ Paya is Impa's daughter. ~ Bozai doesn't exist. The snow boots (Hebra) & sand boots (Mekorsa) can be bought in their respective areas. ~ There's no quest to find out about the Scaled Protectors. They are worshiped in the Serprocenkhi religion. ~ Vilia is present in Germaar Fortress. She is a Gerudo vai that is loved, accepted and treated as any other Gerudo. ~ Gerudo Secret Club (GSC) doesn't exist. Any clothes inside are found at Fashion Passion, alongside Greta working there. ~ Ashai works at Mekorsa School as both a self-defense teacher and a culinary teacher. ~ The Major Deities are not as involved due to most of the problems being because of Lomei technology. They focus on ensuring their regions' protection in the more populated areas first and continue to do so. ~ Blood Moons occur at midnight on nights when Calamity Ganon's power reaches its peak and escapes from Zelda's control within Hyrule Castle, reviving any enemies slain. This only happens three times within the story.

Story Changes ~ Impa gave part of her sagehood to Paya when she turned 18. This was a preemptive measure taken to ensure Link would have the aid of the Sage of Shadow. ~ Impa is Chief of the Sheikah, and Dorian is the Chieftain. ~ Bludo is Patriarch of the Gorons, and Dorill is the Bishop. ~ Buliara is the current Queen of the Gerudo. ~ Link is allowed into Germaar Fortress without any complications. (He was allowed in the palace a century ago by Urbosa. He brings this up to the guards who have Buliara confirm his identity and allow him inside). ~ Sooga is present, but only after Kohga's supposed defeat. Having to assume the role of the next Kohga, he's out for revenge. These plans are put on pause when Calamity Ganon is seemingly destroyed, and he turns his focus to protecting the Yiga Clan and what's left of Radrin's legacy.
~ Vahh Imtassa was sealed by Impa beneath the Shrine of Resurrection. Only after the other Divine Beasts are purged of Calamity Ganon's influence does Impa mention its presence to Link. Since Impa already tamed her Divine Beast, she challenges Link to do the same as a final test before defeating Calamity Ganon. ~ Link uses the One-Hit Obliterator to complete the trial and unlock the small chamber where Vah Imtassa is held. He rides the Divine Beast back to Impa, showing that he has indeed completed the trial that she did almost a century ago.
~ Despite the danger, Impa puts her life on the line and distracts the Guardians surrounding Hyrule Castle with Vahh Imtassa. She also aids in the final battle by drawing Calamity Ganon's attention.

Minor Named Characters + Backstory The Three Serpent-Hybrids Dinraal, Naydra and Farosh ~ They were once a cleric, oracle and priest of the Golden Faith transformed by the Sacred Stones. Their original names became lost to time.
The Late Queen of Hyrule Emmalyn ~ Zelda's mother and Rhoam's wife. She was half Terran half Hylian, and not born into the Royal Family. She was killed by the Yiga and an inside party, Astor.
The Late Family of the Hero Sekin ~ Link's father. He was a Lomei who died during the Great Calamity. Ann ~ Link's mother. She died during the Great Calamity. Ariella ~ Link's sister. She died during the Great Calamity.
The Late Members of Necluda Ylkol ~ Impa's husband and Paya's father. He managed to destroy a stray Guardian in Necluda, but it cost him his life. Ila ~ Dorian's wife, Koko and Cottla's mother, and the former Chieftain. She was killed by the Yiga.
The Late Queen of Mekorsa Orta ~ Riju's mother and Urbosa's sister. She had Riju at 90 and passed at the age of 110 due to a Yiga attack.
