I just recently finished rewriting out Tears of the Kingdom and thought I would share it!
Anything that may have been mentioned in Ever Diverging Paths' BotW, you can find here.
Anything aside that may not be explained in this post is likely in this tag. Regardless questions are welcome!
Mentioning bits that differ for Ever Diverging Paths so there's no confusion. Anything not mentioned is the same as/similar to the original.
TotK's past is referred to Tears from the Past (TftP). (I use some of Age of Imprisonment as well.)
Ballumedus is a deity in Ever Diverging Paths, somewhat being a combination of Bellum and Malladus.
The Scaled Protectors are Ever Diverging Paths' name for the Seven Heroines.
Raneru is Ever Diverging Paths' name for TotK Rauru.
Cozonai are the proper name for Constructs. They were created by Raneru and Mineru to serve and uplift them, tend to their habitats and defend them from threats. Their forms are organic, a mix of fur and scales in segmented areas. Cozonai are closer to animals than intelligent lifeforms. They don't speak, and any interactions with them were only understood by Raneru and Mineru.
The biggest reason Zelda had a hard time using her abilities at first is due to her being split across time.
Ganondorf starts with good intentions, being a kind and surprisingly gentle ruler. Only when his kingdom or loved ones are threatened does his intimidating side emerge.
Ganondorf and Sonia have prior history together, dating for a while in their youth before the relationship was mutually broken off. They kept a professional relationship, occasionally wondering how different things would be had they gone further.
After being critically attacked by Ganondorf, Sonia has permanent effects. She has weakness in her arms and legs, difficulty walking long distances and constant headaches and neck pain.
Being a young Deity, Raneru isn't very in touch with human emotions and concepts. He doesn't feel empathy as easily as Mineru.
Raneru is possessive of Sonia, almost treating her like a human pet. He marries Sonia because she was smitten for him and he, upon finding out about marriage customs, decided it could be a way to keep her with him. During his time holding the seal and traveling with Link, this shifts into actual love, and soon regret.
Raneru loves his daughter, but more as a sign of him integrating with society. During his time holding the seal and traveling with Link, this shifts into actual love, and soon regret.
Being a young Deity, Mineru isn't very in touch with human emotions and concepts. She feels empathy far easier than Raneru.
Any time Mineru questioned Raneru's relationship, he snaps and tells her that Sonia is fine. She keeps an eye on her brother, forming her own more positive bond with Sonia.
Mineru loves Astrearu, often helping her with her magical abilities.
Astrearu is the only child of Sonia and Raneru, having a unique appearance. (Fur covers much of her body, she has horns, a third eye, animal-like ears, a slight snout, semi-unguligrade legs and a tail)
Always a mama's girl, even preferring her Aunt Mineru's company instead of Raneru.
Loves her magic, and often experiments with it to help those around her.
After seeing her father's reaction to her mother's "death", she sides with her mother, refusing to do much interacting with Raneru.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
General Changes
~ It takes place 6 years after BotW.
~ Any and all Lomei technology is reused/repurposed in the populace's general life. The Divine Beasts are taken apart so they do not pose the same threat of being overtaken again. The technology that can't be controlled are scrapped and used elsewhere.
~ NPCs all recognize Link, and any missing NPCs from BotW are present.
~ All of Link's abilities come from Raneru and Mineru.
~ The Depths aren't as expansive. Only some parts are deep.
~ Mogmas mainly live in the Depths.
~ The Sky Islands don't exist; instead, they are located on the ground or underground. The only one still in the air is the Great Sky Island. It's the old remnants of Skyloft brought back from Perralu by Raneru and Mineru.
~ Blood Moons occur at midnight on nights when Ganondorf uses his Sacred Stone to empower himself and revive any enemies slain. This only happens four times within the story.
~ Sooga is going to be a boss in the overworld.
~ Impa doesn't give out the memory quests. Instead, she still wonders the land, but this time more to bring what aid she can.
~ Impa is also still Chief of the Sheikah, and Dorian is the Chieftain.
~ Mipha's Statue stays in Zodobon's Domain. The location in Ploymus Mountain still exists, instead having a differently posed statue of Link and Sidon in Shatterback Park.
~ Bozai doesn't exist.
~ There's no quest to find out about the Scaled Protectors. They are worshiped in the Serprocenkhi religion.
~ The Voe Caravan Squad doesn't exist. It is a simple caravan that does business in Kara City.
~ Gibdos are replaced with Redeads, Wizzrobes & Staldiers that have been corrupted with Malice, giving some wings.
~ Queen Gibdo is called Queen Wizzrobe.
~ Link is allowed into Germaar Fortress without any complications (Buliara already confirmed his identity and approved of him in BotW).
~ Wabbin is not imprisoned, but alongside his daughter, Aaqlet.
~ Gerudo Secret Club (GSC) doesn't exist. Any clothes inside are found at Fashion Passion, alongside Greta & Perda working there.
~ Ashai works at Mekorsa School as both a self-defense teacher and a culinary teacher.
~ Once starting the main quests, Raneru and Mineru take over explaining what occured in the past, focusing on their point of view. They breifly mention the ancient Sage of the region upon entering.
~ The current Sages don't hear the ancient Sages' voices, instead getting a sense of deja vu.
~ The flashbacks with ancient Sages occur once taking the Sacred Stone, and focus on the current Sages recalling their past life. It turns into a "memory" you can walk around as the story unfolds. (This is where many scenes from AoI would appear).
~ The "flashbacks" give more depth to their characters, the early parts of their lives, how they came to join Raneru & Mineru, how Astrearu warned that the seal would break, and them promising their next incarnations would band together to defeat Ganondorf once and for all.
~ All devices and constructs are magical objects and sentient creations of Raneru and Mineru, the former more focued on combat and the latter on utility.
~ The Zonai Tribe doesn't exist, but there is a religion instead; Ranminkyo.
~ Those who follow the Ranminkyo religion depict each piece of the Triforce with a different animal relating to its qualities.
Triforce of Power ~ Bears
Triforce of Wisdom ~ Owls
Triforce of Courage ~ Horses
~ The Zonai Survey Team is instead referred to as the Hyrule Survey Team.
~ Lenalia's Stone Tablets are made to preserve history, found near the temples and surrounding locations in underground chambers.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The many story changes, including past and present, are under the cut.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Present Story Changes
~ The Master Sword doesn't break. Instead, it's weakened, growing dull. It drops out of Link's grasp as his arm is corrupted with Malice.
~ Zelda grabs the Master Sword as the stone starts to crack. She's thrown back in time as the seal breaks and unleashes all of its energy onto her.
~ Ganondorf uses his knowledge about previous Dovehearts to create several Husk Zeldas to spread misinformation and chaos.
~ Link wakes up with Raneru's arm, but it's obvious that it's magically connected to his remaining arm.
~ When meeting Raneru he's accompanied by Mineru. Both are not dead, Raneru only shifted his form into that single hand to keep Ganondorf at bay.
~ Raneru has both of his arms as he simply regenerated his own.
~ Mineru gives Link the Purah Pad, having put it into Perralu for safe keeping until Link awoke.
~ Raneru and Mineru become Link's companions, wanting to right their wrongs for even bringing the Sacred Stones to Earlus in the first place. They shapeshift into bracelets on Link's wrists to keep their true identities a secret.
~ Kass is present in Rikida Village, being the only adult there during the blizzard.
~ Instead of Tulin running off, he asks Teba permission to go investigate the source of the blizzard with Link. His father agrees, finding it a good opportunity to test his son's maturity.
~ Valoo obscured the Stormwind Ark to mitigate the biting cold air. Once requested, he helps Link and Tulin get there, unveiling it as well.
~ Though Tulin grabs the Sacred Stone, it doesn't activate. He and Link return to Rikida Village and are greeted with a warm welcome back and congratulations.
~ Proud of his son's progress and knowing he's needed in Rikida Village, Teba grants Tulin his sagehood, and the Sacred Stone activates for the first time.
~ YunoboCo doesn't exist. Instead, Yunobo is the new leader of the Eldin Mining Company, having gotten the role from Dorill after he become overwhelmed with his duties as Bishop.
~ Yunobo is the one who finds the Gloom Rocks and Marbled Rock Roasts. He was going to bring back some Marbled Rock Roast so that Patriarch Bludo and Bishop Dorill can investigate, but is stopped by a Husk Zelda. She convinces him that it's safe to eat and gets him to try some. While the affects are starting to take place, she gives him the Weird Mask to wear.
~ The Gorons did not live so deeply underground. Instead, it belongs to the Mogmas, who've stayed held up in their homes in Mogiya Settlement. A hoard of monsters have infiltrated the Fire Temple they and the Gorons created for Tidia. Tidia herself encased the temple, sealing it off as much as she could.
~ She aids Link and Yunobo in the fight against Moragia, creating ramps/platforms so Yunobo can roll into the beast. Afterward, at their request, she opens the way for them to get to the Fire Temple.
~ Yona is first seen at the first bridge along Lanayru River fighting off monsters with her sword, her two attendants (Khira and Chroma) in toe fighting alongside her. They kill the monsters before Link can intervine, but Yona warns him of it being dangerous. Link, of course, wants to find Sidon, and so asks if he's at Zodobon's Domain. Yona hesitates, but after Link explains who he is, she readily agrees.
~ Once at Zodobon's Domain, the group is somewhat reluctantly informed where Sidon is by the regent, Muzu, before he sets off to "get away from the Hylian" (back to King Dorephan, despite being ordered to stay at the domain).
~ Yona reinforces to Sidon that she can take care of herself, and admits to have been fighting off monsters earlier. Though this concerns Sidon, it also calms him down, knowing she, Khira and Chroma are capable warriors.
~ The Wellspring Island is not an island under the sky, but a temple underwater. The temple built is for Jabu-Jabu, but he sealed off the entrance as malice-filled mud started emerging from there.
~ Once Link and Sidon arrive, it's clear that Jabu-Jabu can only hold off so much before it seeps through other places. He allows them in so they can get rid of the monster.
~ After having undergone her trial, Riju is now Queen of the Gerudo with Buliara as her co-regent.
~ Teake is the Commander of the Mekorsa army.
~ The teenage girls shy away from Link because he's the hero (and they're self concious of what they've said in the past to him as children). The adults tell him to pay them no mind, they're just excited to see him again. The children have no such fear, talking with Link as much as they want.
~ Riju doesn't need help aiming her lightning, as she does so on her own a little before Link shows up. She lets him guide her when they are together.
~ The Lightning Temple was built for Vayrevi, but she sunk it beneath the sands when the dead, in a horribly disfigured state, started to form within.
~ Vayrevi makes a test (the Red Pillars) for Link and Riju, to prove their ability. Once it's completed, she raises the temple.
~ Upon returning to Purah, she informs them that Impa has returned to Kakariko Village. While initially having Paya do so, Impa is now personally investigating the Malice that appeared deeper within the Shadow Temple.
~ Link arrives in Kakariko to aid in the invesitation and Impa takes notice of the bracelets adorning his wrists, instantly she recognizes the blinding auras attached to them. She ushers Link and Paya to her home, ensuring they wouldn't be observed or easedropped on. Seeing through their disguise, Impa requests Raneru and Mineru to reveal themselves. They shapeshift into their normal forms, and she comments that they seem to be righting their wrongs of centuries past.
~ Mineru says she and the ancient Sage of Shadow, Impral, hid her Sacred Stone in the Shadow Temple underground, even deeper within the main temple. It was where she and Raneru made all their creations, as many Sheikah were apart of the Ranminkyo religion.
~ As a precaution, Mineru sealed up the main area before their final attack on Ganondorf. Impral then split the key into five parts and scattered them, only keeping one for herself. Unfortunately, as evidenced by the Malice seeping out of the temple doors, it wasn't enough to stop Malice from seeping in.
~ Impa gives Paya the first piece of the key and urges for Paya to travel down with them and undo the seal to defeat whatever is down there. Paya hesitates, saying she isn't ready. Impa says that she's ready to embark on this journey with Link and that she has trained enough. As a final form of encouragement, Impa gives the rest of her sagehood to Paya.
~ Although she's still reluctant, Paya agrees and the four of them head down. They find the remainder of the keys and Mineru's pet corrupted by Malice. The group defeats it and Paya is able to claim the Sacred Stone.
~ Tauro is still investigating ruins in Faron, but this time they allude to a Sacred Stone being hidden by the Deku Tree.
~ Allowing Tauro to speak with Mineru, and later Raneru, manages to awaken him as a Sage. He feels conflicted, but knows he needs to help for the greater good. He asks for a bit of help with his powers, needing time to control them again.
~ A small scene between him happens as Raneru and Mineru take on the task of helping Tauro (as their magics are similar). During this, Raneru sees a bit of Sonia in Tauro and the horridness of his actions at her near death races to his mind.
~ After the training session, Raneru goes to speak with Tauro. Though it's too late to apologize to Sonia, he can at the very least verbalize to her successor. Raneru aplogies for being so cruel, hurtful and apathetic, he wished to have realized what a fool he was back then for not valuing Sonia as he should have. Tauro can't recall the full picture, so he can't say for certain how Sonia would feel about his apology, but he believes Raneru to be sincere. Tauro continues by saying he believes she would be appreciative of his sincerity.
~ There is a Sacred Stone that the Deku Tree keeps within the small temple and awaits for Link and the Sage of Light. That's why Malice is present.
~ Once defeating the Phantom Ganon with Tauro's help, the way to the Forest Temple is open, and Tauro gains the Sacred Stone.
~ The battle atop the floating Hyrule Castle doesn't occur. Instead, the group of all Six Sages gather at Lookout Landing, stumped as to where Zelda and the Master Sword are. Purah tries to jog the memories of the sages, ending with Tauro. As Purah asks him to remember for the sake of Hyrule, he gets deja vu from the phrase before recalling something; Sonia had a daughter, Astrearu, and knew she was going to do something drastic to bring Zelda back to her own time.
~ It's then that Raneru and Mineru urge Link away, informing him there could only be one thing; Astrearu consumed her Sacred Stone.
~ The Light Beast is the form of Astrearu. Zelda's body is inside one of the crystal horns while the Master Sword is kept in another. Raneru and Mineru manage to safely remove the horns, only to watch them regrow.
~ Once both horns are seperated from the Light Beast, they break and Zelda awakes. She becomes a companion and would unlock her memories of the past. They can also be played out, but from her point of view.
~ Paya, Tauro and Zelda are all present in the final battle.
~ Overwhelming Ganondorf, he devours his Sacred Stone and transforms into a monstrous version of his beast form, including four massive wings.
~ The final battle takes place in Hyrule field, but this time, all Six Sages, as well as Zelda and Astrearu, are present and use their abilities to help you defeat Ganondorf once and for all.
~ During the battle, Ganon launches at the group but in a Astrearu leaps in to defend them. Ganon bites down on Astrearu's neck, dealing a Malice-infused bite; a fatal injury. Raneru and Mineru appear in their true forms, rushing to be with Astrearu for one final moment before her end. Zelda does as well, and the three all place a hand on her snout before her spirit departs. The three are reignited by the loss and are all able to hold Ganon so Link can deal the final blow.
~ After the battle, Raneru and Mineru briefly explain their origins and soon their regrets for what transpired.
~ Not wanting a repeat of what happened, Raneru and Mineru depart for Astrula, taking all the remaining Sacred Stones with them. In the stones' stead, they leave replicas called Ranmin Stones that have the appearance of the Sacred Stones, but none of their abilities.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
TotP Story Additions (Including Backstory)
~ Originally, Ballumedus created 12 stones, 3 to honor the variations of divinity and 9 to honor the three major trios. A side effect of the weakest deity trying to use timeshift stones in a way other than intended first created/birthed Mineru before tempering it with Black Magic created/birthed Raneru.
~ Now with two new deities, he couldn't simply destroy them. Instead, he tasked them with guarding the Sacred Stones. As an added role, they could search for those they find worthy and grant them a stone. This would mean traveling to the mortal realm, and though skeptical, both agreed if that is what Ballumedus wished.
~ Before their departure, he explained their full abilities; power amplification and transformation into an otherworldly creature (dependent on the individual). The only way to do the latter is by swallowing a stone, but he warns that amount of power will cause the person to lose their sense of self.
~ With their goal and 3 of the Sacred Stones abilities in mind, he gives them the Stormwind Ark to arrive to Earlus. The vessel transports them to Earlus. After some time, they eventually find a cleric, oracle and priest of the Golden Faith and deem them worthy. In their haste to become closer with the Goddesses, they devoured the stones, transforming the three into serpent-hybrid creatures now roaming the realms.
~ They traveled back to Ballumedus, having failed in their eyes but for varying reasons. Mineru mourned the souls who lost their mind, while Raneru mourned the 3 Sacred Stones having gone to fantatics about the Goddesses that weren't even present. Ballumedus seemed indifferent; The three chose their path, and while they do become closer, they've lost all sense of self and are now one with the Goddesses they so worshipped.
~ Despite this, the two were told to return with the rest of the remaining stones. (Not directly then, Ballumedus understands now they need time to find themselves before carrying out his request.) When the time comes, they hesitantly accept but decide against mentioning the creature transformation. As an added bonus, they were given a Sacred Stone each and a promise of acceptance whatever happens to the stones.
~ Raneru and Mineru use the Stormwind Ark to travel to Hyrule again, finding that much has changed since their last visit. They are discovered by Prince Reynard out on a hunt. Soon, the Royal Family welcomes them, having records of their encounter with the three now ancient beasts. This time, neither spoke of their true origin, hoping for another outcome. Instead Raneru began to explain that they were from an ancient race called the Zonai. Though both spun the tale, Raneru is the more eager to explain. These Zonai came from the heavens and are descended from the Divine. The Divine gave the Zonai the Sacred Stones, which could amplify an individual's magical abilities. Mineru is the one who divulges that they are the last two of their kind, and only want a place to stay.
~ Sonia, the Princess of Hyrule Castle, didn't believe the two. Throughout her own encounters with them, she bonds and learns the truth. Neither sibling explicitly state they are deities, but Sonia tells them so and neither deny. She keeps their secret, but wishes to know more about them in turn. Both agree, to Raneru's annoyance.
~ Overtime, Sonia becomes interested with Raneru for other reasons, and Raneru began growing softer with her. Though he doesn't understand it, he knows that he wants her. Mineru forms a growning bond with Sonia as well.
~ The "Zonai" are brought to the Parliament meeting, astounding many. Ganondorf is hesitant to accept the claim but Sonia explains how helpful they've been with their magic and cozonai creations. Later, the two speak in private, Ganondorf worrying for his people's safety. Sonia tries to soothe his worries by telling him she'll keep an eye out and let him know if anything changes. It's enough and the two part their ways.
~ Through that prior interaction, Raneru gets jealous of Ganondorf. Only then does Sonia admit when the two were teenagers, they dated for a while. She states they're still good friends, and she only wants the best for him. This exacerbates the growing possessiveness Raneru had over Sonia.
~ After several months, the two deemed that Sonia was worthy of a Sacred Stone. The other 6 were kept locked away behind doors only Raneru & Mineru could open. This was only temporary as they search for others worthy of wielding such power.
~ Not long after, Sonia becomes Queen of Hyrule after her parents passed away from illness. Soon, Raneru proposes to Sonia, and they are wed. Despite their previous assumptions, Sonia becomes pregnant and gives birth to Astrearu.
~ During the next 23 years, Raneru and Mineru use their abilities to have cozonai roaming around.
~ Overtime, people become unhappy with them (to Mineru's disappointment), so they agree to pull back their reach back further and further each time until it finally ends up being solely Olncial. Neither, however, see the need to bend to mortals will for long. As years pass, both secretly create more mining facilities and leave cozonai throughout Hyrule. Raneru in particular focuses on Mekorsa. He already thought himself superior than Ganondorf due to the latter being a mortal, but once finding out he's a Boarblood, believes this truth even more. With it comes an added paranoia of Ganondorf plotting and scheming from the beginning, wanting to use poor Sonia.
~ They are exposed during the 24th year once when all the members of Parliament demand to know why the cozonai and facilities are still there. Sonia is hurt by this betrayal of trust, and personally sees that every cozonai is recalled. The damage is done, and so this is what starts the infighting and reluctance of all but the Lanayru leader.
~ Raneru, believing Ganondorf's "hold" on Sonia has blinded her to his ways, goes behind Sonia's back again, deploying cozonai that are combat focused into Mekorsa.
~ Despite Ganondorf's accusation during the next Parliament meeting, the rest of Hyrule has been left alone, if but a few odd stray constructs. Sonia, being none the wiser, believes Raneru and Mineru have kept their word, but doesn't dismiss Ganondorf. For a while, there's no further activity…

TotP Changes
~ Instead of meeting Raneru and Sonia, Zelda first meets Astrearu. Finding out she's now in the past, Astrearu offers to help her get home, despite neither of them having any idea.
~ Astrearu is the only person that (openly) knows Zelda is a timetraveler. Others that have an inkling/are aware include Sonia, Impral, Ranuru, Mineru & Ganondorf. To everyone else, she's a friend Astrearu made.
~ Zelda spends most of her time with Astrearu, often being introducted to people.
~ The time Zelda spends takes place over the course of a year.
~ During their first meeting, Astrearu explains her father, Raneru and aunt, Mineru, are creating shrines. While they're used as places of worship, her mother, Sonia, blesses each one with Light Magic so that they are often safe havens.
~ There are no Shades, only the various monsters. They're settling in Hyrule and causing conflict.
~ Astrearu and Zelda help fight the mosnters at camp, Raneru and Sonia showing up shortly before the fight is over.
~ Astrearu introduces Zelda as a new friend she's made, her parents giving her a warm welcome. Both silently note her affinity with Light Magic.
~ Arriving at Hyrule Castle, Zelda is introduced to Mineru, Lenalia, and Impral.
~ Zelda attends the Parliament meeting, being introduced to many new faces. There are concerns about her presence at this meeting, but Astrearu vouches for her by stating that she's new to Hyrule and so she wants to show Zelda how well everyone gets along.
~ Ganondorf scoffs at the assumption, as does Raphica, much to Raneru's displeasure. Sonia calms the room back down, stating that she is welcome to observe that in spite of the many trials that come Hyrule's way, there's always a road for peace.
~ Zelda feels wary around Ganondorf because of his name's similarity to the Calamity, but notices him soften up as Sonia speaks. Something that Raneru notes as well.
~ Raneru leaves to go on a walk, as he told Sonia and Mineru. In truth, he personally attacks the Gerudo's ancestral burial grounds in a fit of jealous rage
~ This event leads to Ganondorf attacking in retaliation.
~ Ganondorf doesn't use Ardi, Sholani, Ronza or any other Gerudo as a ploy. Instead, now seeing the power of the Sacred Stones, he, Koume and Kotake come in to help them retreat.
~ Wanting to protect his people from the sibling deities, Ganondorf strives to gain one of those stones so he can find the rest and destroy the deities with them. With a heavy heart, he targets Sonia due to Raneru being a harder target.
~ Ganondorf writes Sonia a letter, explaining that Raneru attacked the Gerudo's burial grounds and that was his reasoning for attacking Hyrule. When the letter reaches Sonia, she's horrified and immediately confronts Raneru. He's unable to defend himself, and Sonia refuses to let Raneru attend any more meetings, instead wanting Mineru in his place.
~ As a show of peace, Sonia offers Ganondorf and his daughters to stay at Hyrule Castle. He accepts, leaving the Mekorsa Council in charge.
~ This is where he begins creating Husks of Zelda, determined to be the one to stop Raneru and Mineru from harming more people.
~ During their six month stay, Zelda and Astrearu interact with Ganondorf, learning more about his background. Despite Zelda's fear, she has to admit he hasn't seemed to be antagonistic, only in response to Raneru.
~ Koume and Kotake lead Raneru away, wanting to ensure their father could do what he needed to do. Unfortunately, Raneru assumes this to be an assassination attempt, and ends up killing the both of them before rushing back to the castle.
~ Meanwhile, one of the Husks tries manipulating Sonia but it doesn't work. Both Zelda and Astrearu are there with her, and they defeat the Husk. Things seem to settle down afterward, only for Ganondorf to get the jump on them.
~ Ganondorf doesn't kill Sonia, instead critically injuring her by a strong blow to her spine. Though he only planned to incapacitate her, the pain and angle caused Sonia to go unconcious. (In truth, she'll survive and is able to recover, but she has lasting effects). He may have the stone, but now he believes that he's killed one of his closest friends.
~ Astrearu rushes to her side, Zelda following shortly behind. Astrearu wants to charge at him, but hesitates, not wanting to leave her mother's side. The most she does is snarl at him, her third eye opening as she calls him a monster.
~ Raneru arrives and notices the scene, but instead of focusing on his family, he's devastated, not for Sonia's near death. No, he was more upset the Sacred Stone is now in Ganondorf's possession.
~ Ganondorf doesn't taunt Raneru, just glares at him. Raneru declares his little assassination attempt didn't work, and he killed them. Ganondorf's eyes go wide; Koume and Kotake are dead? It all comes crashing together that the people he cared about the most are gone, so he may as well go through with his plan. He unlocks his Malice abilities right then and there, uncaring for what happens to him.
~ The reason Ganondorf's form changes and he gains so much power is due to him tampering with the Sacred Stone by using Malice, overwhelming his body (and his mind as much as he doesn't want to admit it). He attacks the group, but Raneru shields them.
~ Despite her anger, Astrearu teleport Sonia, Zelda and Raneru to safety. Much of the castle and surrounding area (Necluda) evacuates as monsters flood the land, many of the residents being killed.
~ Ganondorf creates four creatures by using a mix of Malice and Black Magic. Each were from masses of Malice that fell to the four corners of Hyrule. Each one eventually being resurrected as husks of their former selves to serve him again: Grimgera (Archfiend of Tempests), who corresponds to Colgera,
Grimtorok (Archfiend of Grime), who corresponds to Mucktorok, Grimgohma (Archfiend of Lava), who corresponds to Marbled Gohma, and Grimwizzrobe(Archfiend of Sand), who corresponds to Queen Wizzrobe.
~ Astrearu is the one that reveals Sonia is still alive, begging Mineru to heal over her mother. She does without hesitation, doing so on the journey to the Forgotten Temple to the North.
~ Once Sonia awakens, Mineru explains to her what occured, and Sonia is horrifed by what Ganondorf has become. Worse still is the truth about Raneru and his actions.
~ After she's stable enough to walk again, Sonia meets with Raneru and calls him out for his actions, declaring her independance then and there by divorcing Raneru. She is only going to help the two deities to save her remaining family and her kingdom. Raneru storms off own his own, but Mineru stays behind. She tells Sonia that she'll do what she can to help, and try to bring Raneru back when there's time.
~ Sonia and the others make a temporary settlement in the Forgotten Temple. This is where the Doveheart & Wolfborn stay during the war, as both are too young to help fight against Ganondorf.
~ After the group settles, Sonia asks for Impral, the Garoster, to take the Lomei to aid in Hebra while the majority of the Necluda residence stays with her. Impral agrees and sets off.
~ Ardi is temporarily made Queen of Mekorsa, putting off her trail until this cataclysmic disaster is gone. Knowing she is unable to face Ganondorf alone, she offers her alliance with Sonia.
~ During the war, Raneru is moving from location to location, destroying any monsters in sight, but uncaring about the damage he leaves in his wake. Though Mineru attempts to talk with him, the first couple of times lead nowhere.
~ The various leaders of Hyrule meet at the Hyrulean base in the Forgotten Temple, devising a plan to defeat Ganondorf once and for all. Mineru uses this time to find her brother once more, and during the meeting, Ganondorf's army found their hideout and attacked. Only then do Mineru and Raneru return, fighting back and driving off the opposing forces.
~ Sonia and Raneru don't openly speak to one another, but put aside any differences to work to defeat Ganondorf.
~ Zelda and Astrearu are ordered to stay behind and defend their base while the rest plan to try and seal Ganondorf away with the Sealing Power of the Sages. Mineru offers a backup option should their attack fail; she and Raneru can seal Ganondorf themselves.
~ Knowing the fight would be near impossible otherwise, Mineru and Raneru give the remaining Sacred Stones to each of the remaining Sages.
~ During a major battle, Astrearu and Zelda head off to protect the Great Deku Tree from Grimwizzrobe.
~ The Hyrulean forces attack Hyrule Castle, planning to lure Ganondorf underground to back him into a corner so they could seal him away. The Six Sages' power isn't enough, and so, Raneru and Mineru both seal Ganondorf away, leaving the future of Hyrule in Sonia's hands.
~ Ganondorf is not fully aware of time passing in the seal but has partial consciousness that slowly grows over time. Raneru and Mineru are aware but unable to leave the seal lest Ganondorf break free. Both reflect with each other on what transpired, what went wrong, how much of this was to blame on them, etcetera.
~ Knowing the only wait to bring Zelda to her time, Astrearu goes to each of the Sages, revealing her plan to turn into a beast so that Zelda can be in stasis until they're able to get to Zelda's present time. All agree with her plan, yet Sonia hesitates. She asks for a day with her before she commits to turning into a mindless beast, and Astrearu agrees.
~ After their final day together, Astrearu tells Sonia how much she loves her and departs to find Zelda.
~ With Zelda nearby and clutching the Master Sword, Astrearu devours her Sacred Stone, planning to use her partial divinity to try and empower it while allowing Zelda to return to her own time.

~ They have a few traits of whoever created them as well and do not have a personality of their own.
~ They can speak in the person's voice but are unable to mimic properly as their "voice" sounds like multiple people speaking at once.
~ They can be given any abilities the creator has.
Husks
~ They are soulless beings created in the form of someone else. They have no emotions or thoughts, only acting out on orders.
~ They can speak in the person's voice, but lack any vocal expression or quirks.

I rewrote out some of Breath of the Wild for my Ever Diverging Paths and thought I would share it!
Mentioning bits that differ for Ever Diverging Paths so there's no confusion. Anything not mentioned is the same as/similar to the original.
The Scaled Protectors are Ever Diverging Paths' name for the Seven Heroines.
Link grew up in Hateno Village with his family. Over 100 years later, he ends up buying his childhood home.
Zelda had a hard time using her abilities at first. This is mainly because she was part Terran. What added to her difficulties was her being harshly pressured since a young age. Over time, her powers slowly came through but it didn't fully manifest until she and Link were in a life or death situation.
Astor was an unwilling prophet of Majora, having precognition bestowed upon him. He is the Fortune Teller mentioned.
The Four Divine Beasts were made to aid the Wolfborn and Doveheart seal away Calamity Ganon by containing its obscure form. The Fifth Divine Beast is made to distract and impede Calamity Ganon.

General Changes
~ Sheikah technology is instead called Lomei technology.
~ The Monks aren't present, simply a recording they left behind; this includes Maz Koshia.
~ There are more memories shown as Link progresses, slowly regaining his memory on his own. These primarily take place during the main questline (showing several scenes from AoC, some altered to understand the original story of a century ago). In addition, the Illusory Realm doesn't exist; any extra dialogue will be things Link naturally remembers.
~ The Sheikah have a Champion, Impa, and Divine Beast, Vahh Imtassa, which resembles a tanuki. Vahh Imtassa isn't as large as the others but is far more mobile. It was recovered late into the lead up to the Great Calamity, and so only manages to be operational several years after the Great Calamity.
~ Paya is Impa's daughter.
~ Bozai doesn't exist. The snow boots (Hebra) & sand boots (Mekorsa) can be bought in their respective areas.
~ There's no quest to find out about the Scaled Protectors. They are worshiped in the Serprocenkhi religion.
~ Vilia is present in Germaar Fortress. She is a Gerudo vai that is loved, accepted and treated as any other Gerudo.
~ Gerudo Secret Club (GSC) doesn't exist. Any clothes inside are found at Fashion Passion, alongside Greta working there.
~ Ashai works at Mekorsa School as both a self-defense teacher and a culinary teacher.
~ The Major Deities are not as involved due to most of the problems being because of Lomei technology. They focus on ensuring their regions' protection in the more populated areas first and continue to do so.
~ Blood Moons occur at midnight on nights when Calamity Ganon's power reaches its peak and escapes from Zelda's control within Hyrule Castle, reviving any enemies slain. This only happens three times within the story.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Story Changes
~ Impa gave part of her sagehood to Paya when she turned 18. This was a preemptive measure taken to ensure Link would have the aid of the Sage of Shadow.
~ Impa is Chief of the Sheikah, and Dorian is the Chieftain.
~ Bludo is Patriarch of the Gorons, and Dorill is the Bishop.
~ Buliara is the current Queen of the Gerudo.
~ Link is allowed into Germaar Fortress without any complications. (He was allowed in the palace a century ago by Urbosa. He brings this up to the guards who have Buliara confirm his identity and allow him inside).
~ Sooga is present, but only after Kohga's supposed defeat. Having to assume the role of the next Kohga, he's out for revenge. These plans are put on pause when Calamity Ganon is seemingly destroyed, and he turns his focus to protecting the Yiga Clan and what's left of Radrin's legacy.
~ Vahh Imtassa was sealed by Impa beneath the Shrine of Resurrection. Only after the other Divine Beasts are purged of Calamity Ganon's influence does Impa mention its presence to Link. Since Impa already tamed her Divine Beast, she challenges Link to do the same as a final test before defeating Calamity Ganon.
~ Link uses the One-Hit Obliterator to complete the trial and unlock the small chamber where Vah Imtassa is held. He rides the Divine Beast back to Impa, showing that he has indeed completed the trial that she did almost a century ago.
~ Despite the danger, Impa puts her life on the line and distracts the Guardians surrounding Hyrule Castle with Vahh Imtassa. She also aids in the final battle by drawing Calamity Ganon's attention.
