“But, consider this…” Hades looks quietly at the young male for a few seconds before slowly starting to grin. “Wouldn’t it be fun?” Then his gaze goes back to their self-made bowling lane, and he repeats his earlier words.

“I bet you a free meal that you can’t floor that pin with your next throw. Not even if you tilt the earth to set its path.”

He raises his eyebrows in a slight challenge at Mino, then motions a hand for the male to try.

And nobody needs to know there’s a Hellhound standing right next to the pin, ready to keep any and every ball subtly away from it.

The unfriendly look on Mino’s face cleared when the god mentioned the challenge. Naturally, with the way the god presented the way too easy challenge, Mino suspected that there was a fly in the ointment. However, obtaining a free meal in exchange to flooring the pin sounded like a good enough deal. Especially since the god failed to mention what he should do in case he failed. So it was worth the try.

“Consider your challenge accepted. In exhange for me flooring the pin, I get a free meal from you.”

A solemn nod into the god’s direction the next thing he did was making a bowling ball of earth with the solidity of stone. Picking the thing up, as if it was as light as a feather, Mino went to stand in position. Aiming for the pin Mino didn’t use his ability as he threw the ball at it. Pleased to see it was going in a straight line at the pin, the demigod did use his ability then to make it go faster.

Watching at how the ball made a beeline for the pin, all of a sudden it changed its course. Quickly getting the ball back on track, every time he almost got to the pin the ball got pushed away. Some strong invisible force was clearly at a work here. A huff leaving him at the realization that this must have been the gods plan all along he shortly glanced at the male. “Well, that was an anti-climax.” Knowing he wasn’t strong enough to go against a god Mino still tried to push the ball further, testing the barrier the god had put around the pin.
