I think the best evidence for Deans BPD/Sam being his FP in my opinion isn’t how attached he is to Sam, it’s how hard he splits with him. Like to the point where he seems obsessed with hating him. Like when they get into an argument in Season 5, Dean fully doesn’t care that Sams Lucifer’s vessel and only works with him again to save the world. But when they connect again he starts talking about how he broke the first seal so technically Sam did nothing wrong. He forgets their good moments when he feels attached to him, and forgets their bad moments when they’re arguing.

I love Dean and I’m so proud of his character development. I GET his idolization of his dad is a coping mechanism having to do with his developmental trauma but in the earlier episodes his constant defense of John over Sam makes me so sad
