Hey so last year @bloodymary83 posted about an old, personalized, mail-order BTAS comic, called "Batman and Me," that legend said includes a scene where Joker kisses Batman. And as you can see, it is indeed true!

I unsuccessfully search for copies now and then, and today some decade-old forum posts led me to an old blog of artist Brad Rader. Said blog is now gone-- but not from the Internet Archive, which retained not only his posts but his sketches/pencils!

(Rader mentions that he never even saw the finished comic, and it seems few people beyond the kids whose parents put in orders ever have. There was a 2014 Bleeding Cool article about it, but only 4 panels survived capture in the Wayback Machine.)

From the first Rader post: the first page of the synopsis he worked with and sketches/pencils of the splash page with Joker dressed up as Uncle Sam.

Skipping to Rader's third post: another set of sketches/pencils of Batman rescuing "Uncle Sam," with some of the finished script.

From Rader's fourth post: the pièce de resistance! (Absent the finished panel, somewhere out there...)

From Rader's fifth post: just a little more with Batman and Joker and goons.

You can keep navigating through the archived posts to see more of the story, but Joker is basically in jail from this point. :(

Samantha Reads Comics: Cat Fancy #2

Pretty neat Paul Pope cover for the beginning of this arc.

This Holly scene is some really effective and emotionally real character work.

Crispus Allen! I enjoy this guy.

Fun construction in issue #9, cutting between all these scenes to show how Selina’s plan makes use of a huge network of information. Good use of color palettes too.

One of the things I absolutely hard disagree with Bruce Timm on is Bruce's romantic involvement with Barbara Gordon. It's one of the things in the DCAU that I just can't stand.

However, I'll say this there are a few issues of the Gotham Adventures comics where it's hinted at that aren't totally worthless. You can see it developing over time.
