Back in 2021, Elon Musk and his company Neuralink successfully chipped monkeys for the first time. Even then, this news made a splash.
However, they didn't stop there. The other day, Neuralink received permission to conduct human trials and very soon the first test subjects will appear. After successful tests, one of the first patients will be Elon Musk himself.
According to Elon himself, his chip will provoke new neural connections, which will help treat brain injuries, depression, blindness and deafness.
Chinese brain chip company could soon surpass Elon Musk's Neuralink
A collaboration between the Beijing-based Chinese Institute for Brain Research (CIBR) and the state-owned NeuCyber NeuroTech is planning to implant its brain chip, Beinao No. 1, in 13 people by the end of the year, according to Luo Minmin, CIBR’s director and NeuCyber’s chief scientist. Luo spoke to reporters at tech-focused Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing, Reuters reported.
Its the year 2050. I think about making a grilled cheese but my neuralink causes 14 ads to start playing over the recipe.
