Finished top of hat. I don’t think that a trim around the outside is necessary
The finished project! This is made completely from leftover bits from many other projects and gifted bits. While the materials aren’t made with natural fibers, I don’t think that it takes away from the beauty of this hat. If it was transplanted to the 18th century I think that the materials would not have been considered strange.

Trim finally finished and pinned. Tomorrow will hopefully see it sewn on and the ties in place.
Working on the trim. This is taking a lot more time than the black trim but definitely worth the effort.
Brain done and looking very brainish. Now I’m working on the ribbon trim
Soooo... I enjoyed making the black hat entirely too much and now here is the beginnings of a yellow one. Yellow is my absolute favorite colour. It is the colour of sunshine and dandelions.
