I finished this gorgeous gray hat (the Forth Hat by @ysolda) last night after working on it for the last two days only to discover that it looks way better on my husband than me. So Mike gets a new hat and I cast on a second attempt for myself. And obviously by "finished" I mean I still need to weave in the ends and wash/block it 😂 . . . . . #tinyhappyknits #knittingaddict #forthhat #knittersgonnaknit #knittersofinstagram #knithat #handknit #makersgonnamake #slowknitting #mindfulknitting #selfcareknitting https://www.instagram.com/p/CodQxl5ubWC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

An Ode to an Old Hyperfixation 💙🤍 This hat was very heavily inspired by the character Patton, my favorite character from Sanders Sides. As a child I loved Thomas’s vines and earlier YouTube content, but I didn’t reunite with his content until around April of 2019 when I watched a few episodes (instead of doing homework) and immediately fell in love. It was funny and beautifully written, with lovable characters and important themes that I needed at the time. Patton in particular always spoke to me. As the “innocent parent friend” with a love for cookies, I saw a lot of myself in Patton, and wanted to be kind and sweet like him. I strongly related to Patton later in the series with Selfishness versus Selflessness and SvSr. His character development in those episodes is something that I really needed to see, as I had a similar mindset. I remember last May when I was learning to knit, I was actually watching Thomas stream at the time (I think he was making a Lego castle?), so in a way this is coming full circle. I think that’s pretty cool :) This series was (and to an extent, still is) really important to me, and will always hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you so much @thomassanders and the rest of the team for making this wonderful series. 💜 (sorry for the long caption I just have a lot of feelings 😅) #sanderssides #sandersides #pattonsanders #patton #knittersofinstagram #knit #knitting #knithat #knittedhat https://www.instagram.com/p/CM_cvbIBMhB/?igshid=k7fyo9nhfzm7
