Day 31: poppy. This ink color is so fun. Just wait for the shimmer at the end. It was a bit thick so I really had to work to get it off the nib but if I wanted to I'm sure I could add a few drops of water next time.

Ultra Marina calligraphy ink swatching. Coming to Ferris Wheel Press on March 1st. Described as opaque periwinkle.
I haven't used my pointed pen in awhile so I was glad to pick it up again to test this ink. I found the color very similar to another I already own by FWP called "Borrowed Blue" but this one is darker (comparison photo at the end of the video). I'm also not very experienced with this type of ink so the consistency was a challenge for me. But if you love a pointed pen or dip pen I'm sure you'll know how to keep this looking delightful!

Day 21: lavender. Should I tape my paper down? Probably! But I like to move the paper as I write to get the perfect angle and that would slow me down. My ADHD has no patience for things like that. 😝 Anyone else not a big fan of the smell of lavender? Sometimes I think I'm the only one but it's just too herbal for me. Could be my sensory issues...

A beautiful flourished bunny from @thepostmansknock 🐇The big, bad burn out monster is coming for me, so I decided to just trace this cutie. I've been feeling burnt out for awhile and I tried going easy on myself and being less strict about my daily practice but it hasn't helped. I think I need to experiment more and try new things. Hopefully this doesn't become chronic. Wish me luck!
