the sudden weight in his hands had taken him aside. the contents of the bag were a lot heavier than he would have assumed - likely due to the weighted blanket stashed among the other gifts. he thanks the other almost immediately and recovers before he’s shuffling through them, cheeks already dusting a light pink. it doesn’t take long for tears to well in his eyes; each item is just as thoughtful as the last and his heart soars in giddy excitement. while the weighted blanket and all might figurine were both definitely appreciated - and would be cherished - the sight of the plush made the tears spill down his red cheeks, fixing hitoshi with a wobbly smile as he clutches it close. it isn’t perfect, but izuku thinks that the imperfections make it that much more lovable - and the idea of hitoshi working to create it only makes him feel more sentimental, putting everything down just to throw his arms around the other.

“ it’s perfect...! you- you didn’t have to do all of this, i swear, but it’s all so perfect and thoughtful and...!” he’s definitely crying now, the few tears turning into hiccups, but the smile on his face stretches so far it stings in his cheeks. “ you... you did amazing, t-thank you so much!”
