I know we're all riding the Final Fest(?) hype train but I had to show some love to the Fest that comes before it. Plus, I saw an opportunity and I just had to take it 🤣

From the Team Behind B. R. E. A. D. : A New Story for a New Age
(taps mic) is this thing on?
why hello there. it's been far too long, hasn't it? nearly (checks notes) ah. a meager...uh...5 years...of course. oh how the sands of time have changed us all.
we're not sure if anyone still remembers us out there, or if any of the accounts that follow us are still active, but we wanted to log in and tell you about a new project quite a few members of the B.R.E.A.D. team are working on together!
(did i almost have a meltdown looking through 5-year-old texts trying to find the password to this account? maybe so. so uh, please listen.)
B.R.E.A.D.'s creator, Lee Melillo, has teamed up with original cast members Ethan Peña Mock (B.R.E.A.D.'s Bahorel), Melissa Bautista (Feuilly), Kana Seiki (Joly), and Alex Ramirez Cannon (Montparnasse) to bring you all...
What the hell is this, you might ask? The Peek with Samuel Pepys (@thepeekwithpepys) is a scripted fiction, historical-comedy podcast loosely inspired by the diaries of British writer Samuel Pepys (1633-1703), which provide one of the only first-hand accounts of life in England’s Stuart Restoration, under the rule of King Charles II (1660-1685). Accents may vary – oftentimes within the same line. But, hey. It's not like we can ever really know what they sounded like back then, now can we?
What can we say? We just can't seem to get out of the past.
Again, we may be talking to a ghost town, but if anyone is out there and interested – please consider giving this new project a look! It's a true passion project for the team, and if you liked B.R.E.A.D. (particularly its sense of humor and performances), there's a big chance you'll love The Peek, too.
You can find our first episode on all podcast streaming platforms now – Episode 2 premieres this Friday (08/08) at 12AM EST (trailer here). Let us know what you think!
And if anyone wants to reminisce about B.R.E.A.D....well, our DMs are open for business. As long as I remember the password this time.
B.R.E.A.D. Forever,
Lee & The OG B.R.E.A.D. Team

I would love to share some dialogue I just cooked up for a sequel/novella to my fan-fiction: I clear my throat as I say, “Bread.”
She eyes me oddly, looking confused, dark eyebrows raising as she repeats in a confused tone, “Bread?”
“Yes,” I respond almost immediately, nodding up and down awkwardly. “Just bread. Lots of it. Please.” ---
I get ya man. I just want some bread, too. T-T The context behind this is that he's at a soup and salad restaurant. He hates salad. Is mid on soup. But he sure loves his bread.
Dumb question to hopefully boost your spirits..
What’s your favourite type of bread? And how do you take it? Are you someone who prefers toast or fresh bread for sandwiches?
Ehhehe sorry for the randomness
I love that randomness, thank you anon.
I'm a big fan of bread. 🍞 Especially swiss bread (which I grew up eating). I mostly loooove white fluffy bread (the softer the better). But I also enjoy a lot the ones with seeds in it (caw caw motherfucker). Darker breads can be super good too but I do gravitate less towards it. Now that I live in France I'm less enthusiastic about it - yes I know, the famously french baguette but honestly I find it not fluffy enough and the exterior part is hurting my gums. I love my french toast, always nice whether it's toasted or not and otherwise I do buy some ready to bake little baguettes so I can make them whenever and not bake them for too long so it stays soft.
But I love making bread! Had I a better oven and a partner to feed I'd make it way more often! I love kneading the dough, it's a great workout and very satisfying.
I can't resist showing y'all three types of swiss bread I'm missing in France:
1. La Tresse ('The Braid')
It's a white braided bread which has milk in its recipe. It's amazing for breakfast and not as sugary as the french brioche.
2. Le Pain Tessinois ('Ticino Bread')
A type of bread originated from the only Italian-speaking state in Switzerland. It's great.
3. Le Pain de Sils ('Sils Bread')
It's basically the swiss version of the German/Austrian bretzel but in bread form. It's salty and delicious.
Garlic bread...
I need everyone to know how badly this has infected my echolalia. I can't see bread without chanting it. I can't think bread without chanting it. I've got my brother saying it and my mom isn't far behind. Bread! Bread! Bread!
