Now then On to the break down!
Let’s start with the star himself Ren:
Now Wolfboy here has a bit going on his design.
Of course being that he’s wearing his vacation get up with the flowers, glasses, and watch changing color as he looses life I wanted someway to incorporate all of that.
So please imagine that the glare in his glasses are yellow and red. Also the outer petals of the flower are red and yellow while the inner are that true pink and then of course the center being the light blue of the shirt itself. He has a flower bracelet that has all three traffic colors and those colors also show up in small bars on his watch!
This design of Ren has several scars to represent his deaths both in DL and from 3L and LL as well. With the most prominent one being the dripstone scar the cracked open the top of his forehead!
Speaking of which if you look above him and the moon, on top of the pic there are in fact some dripstone there.
Ren has three pins on his design, two on his suspenders and one on the collar of his button up. A Prince Frog pin to reference how he found Big B, A log on fire for the summoning ceremony, and a cookie, once again for his Soulmate.
He has many things attach to his belt that I best make an itemized list from left to right. 1. A bunch of “summoning” candels that hand around his side and back that are clearly just Yankee candel with lead wrapped around them. 2. Sugar Cane in a holster because he earned what he stole and grew. 3. A sheath dagger for his diamond sword. 4. A bundle of wheat from the home garden that he can use to make bread, and 5. a curved goat horn.
Bonus he has has a crown for a belt buckle. Is the royal season rising or is it just a princely curse?
Final notes is that Ren is a very harry boi with sharp claws and he has furry dog legs.
Now onto Martyn;
Martyn here is an Ocelot becuase it was too funny to let it go that he logged into the wrong skin, though of course his MCC outfit has changed just a little bit.
I am a big fan of the Celestial Bodies as Life Series Championships and tbh the whole Martyn as the Ocean thing while makes sense in isolation really doesn’t make sense with the theming, so instead I counter it with making him a Comet. And before anyone says anything comets often are in the ocean and due often contain water.
But if you really are stuck on the Ocean theming I feel like the entire Earth instead of just the ocean or a water theming planet like Neptune should work.
Now Martn here has a lot of hearts through his theming, from his jacket to his sword he is the broken heart he lives in. He also claimed to be a modern artist, not someone whose bring down the property value like many in the neighborhood watch complained.
So of course he has his artist apron full of brushes and the like and a pallet shield to protect himself.
He’s also the only one in the pick all but grasping at his soul unlike the others whose soul floats above their hands. Grasping for connection to betray. Like the Cornflower from Cleo he has proudly on his jacket or the Moon charm on his Sword.
Idk where else I’m going to put this but he dose in fact have a horn and telescope hidden in his side just hanging in there.
Tbh whenever I didn’t know what to do with certain area’s of his design, I just ref’ed his Vtuber model and compared it a picture of an Ocelot.

Funfact; all of the Broken Hearts Club Members have a Spiked Band with a Demon charm on it, Ren’s is covering his Beheading Scar from 3L making a choker, Pearls is openly on her wrist, and Martyn’s- Martyn’s is on the mirroring wrist, turned away and hidden, the charm blocked by His Hand.
Now onto Pearl’s Design!
The Champion herself of course is a crescent tailed demoness, but she’s wearing a red wolf’s cloak.
I really went hard into the Fairytale theming for Pearl, like sure the other two have vague hints here and there, but here it’s just everywhere.
From her witch esq clothing to her Golden Apple in a Bottle, I just had fun.
But of course beware as she does have her nasty fishing rod and sword behind her back as well. She has a dark blue vest over her white dress to contrast her redlife cloak. Which ref’s her starting skin and red life skin she switched to early on.
Over all it’s a more simpler design that I had real fun putting together.
Though it did come with some regrets, such as me wishing I had the room to make the ink around her moon’s cloud thicker and maybe given Scott’s soul a bunch of cracks rather the matching blank I went with.
I gave her waaaaay more eyes than Martyn as she watched way more.
A couple final details
Connected to Ren’s Soul is of course his Soulmate which is rotating around the sun with another Soul whose bond is leading off picture.
Matryn’s annoying paw shoes where only possible due to the amount of color and shapes in his mcc shoes.
Bdubs and Impulse are holding hands while their souls are broken broken but still bonded directly below Ren. My man wanted to avenge his Soulmate and thus he get’s a little silly goof as a treat.
And Finally while I am not showing you the pic again; please know that Ren’s pole axe was a Time[Negative] to draw.

So first let’s go through some common unifiers.
We have cute little hearts with their life number on it and a bonus blue coloring to say when a life is lost.
Tango, Skizz, and Etho’s hearts show this loss in different ways..Skizz has his with colored stiches going through and a red slash, and so does Etho(plus his weeb headband getting a little missing nin slash of death) his; But,Tango’s has a little red slash but no stiches.
A little divide in the group there ;).
Of course what is not a divide is their roses, Impulse and Bdubs of course having matching pure red, while Etho, Skizz, and Tango all have blue streaks to mimic Team BEST colors because we will never be over that tragic boy band.

Let’s get into Tango’s little details
Now Mr. Tek here was a fun time to give a little wedding flare too.
He is of course rocking that cowboy goth, big hat, big heart belt buckle big boots, but of course I still wanted to stay true to the original skin, such as keeping his hands bare, and white highlights for that skin tone that pops up above the wrist area of the mc skin.
He’s also propping his shield which the banner seems to be another fabric just nailed into it.
Of course you where most likely not looking at those things when it came to Tango’s design. Let’s talk about the Elephant in the room.
Warden! Tango
Warden Tango just felt more right than all the blazeborn stuff to me. Not that blazeborn Tango isn’t cool but to help keep designs varied I think I’ll make Tango have different creature traits in different seasons to reflect and fit the theming.
And why shouldn’t Rancher’ Revenge have a Warden dad?
Now there are somethings to note about this.
Most people draw the Warden with these antlers and horns for the top of it’s head, heck even the concept art I was using for color uses those terms, however I don’t really see them as that.
Instead I see them as tendrils more like antenna or the tendrils on top of a Shulk Sensor. Heck you can see a version of a Beta Warden with that design. Of course then I ran into the problem of how to get it to be as thick as they are. My answer was having many.
Now of course I wanted the bones to match the red that I wanted to use for tango, so I did the normal person thing by color shifting the whole picture to ref and pinkish colors and looking at the blue it gave. Of course you can still see the regular Warden bones on his Jacket.
This blue would also be the bases for his nails, and blush as well.
And lastly I want to talk about the souls.
The souls are interpreted as a little design on the stomach and wrists of his shirt as well as on his boots. A little closer look at the shirt will also see bands and a little design to act as the “teeth” on a Warden’s arm as well. Besides the boots, all of the souls glow.
One last thing on Tango’s design before we move on.
His forehead has a large scar on his fore head. This is a little nod to how Tango first died in the Life series, ever. 3rd lifers get a little treat.
So do Team Ranchers as you can se his golden hair has a couple of muted dirty blonde in it. That same color can be found on a feather attached to his belt and the inside color of a blue hardcore heart bolo.
This of course connects him to his rancher, no matter how far apart they get.
Now on to Skizzleman.
I did all 6 of his wings and it killed me, but dang does it look good!
To counter Impulse’s little demon theming he of course has angel theming, this is nothing new but I wanted my little take on it with big wings that glow his blue and have eyes on the feathers in his eye’s blue.
I am just unbelievably happy with how this turned out.
Also being an angelic being I gave him an extra finger, that now your guy’s problem actually.
He also has a bunch of other details.
First let’s get out my biggest regret; His arms don’t have that 3rd Life Purple in them. I managed to include the eyes, but not the arms. Truly this is the miss opportunity of a life time. Hindsight on a picture is a bitch.
Another thing that is awful Hindsight is that blank belt buckle.
But hey at least I got his final Last Life death but Arrow scar. Also Skizz has a couple explosion deaths so of course that’s what I a going to turn his skin’s arm makes into.
I also managed to refence the light red lettering of BEST into his head as well. My man cuts and dye’s his hair.
He’s also has a golden headpiece that looks like a halo!
Also kinda went ham on the Sunflowers, idk why but he one for every BEST member.
Now onto the last details of this boy
This man coordinated with his best buddy on outfits.
Please believe me when I say Impulse is wearing blue socks you can’t see to match their matching shoes and pocket embellishments.
Speaking of whom, onto the man himself!
Now first off let’s get the obvious out of the way: I miss Boatem.
Now let’s talk about the fun stuff like his golden apple key chain and his sharp claws and sharp lips.
Or how his little demon horns and tails have floating little guys that give that “i” look to them, with the fade in yellow.
And of course the most cute thing: Him and Impulse share colors in the same area where their forehead touches. Really just wanted to give that sweet vibes they give off.
Just something nice.
Of course that’s not the only thing they share.
Two Rings chained together, one a clock the other copper. Matching compass watches to find the other and of course, compass and clock belt buckle with belt colors of the other man’s waist coat.
The Compass thing is one of those design details I wish I did differently by making compasses an Imp and Skizz thing to imply... something idk it’s up to you guys on that.
Now onto the little guy
This man is so skrunkly. What a Youtube
He has the moss corset coat, the clock tie pin, eyes bruised to hell and back, burns on the back of his neck from a game during the first season, and a smug look on his face despite the sword to his neck, you know the usual stuff!
Also his coat is more in line with the white sample from his skin’s shirt while the actually shirt’s white came from his teeth.
Very nervous about that hair line fade but was really happy with the end products, same with the bruise and beard texturing. Naturally white beard hair does not play nice with coloring!
Lastly let’s go over Etho boy over here.
He is of course in full weeb attire, but after being informed he was not allowed to cosplay Canadian Jonin Kakashi Hatake to the wedding, he instead decided to cosplays Wedding arc Jonin Kakashi Hatake but the outfit looks more snazy.
This includes his leaf belt and sleeve patch as well as a mirror patch of a head course heard. He’s wearing a proper archer glove but the cosplay rears it’s head again with heart hand plates.
And of course Socks with Sandals to top this whole outfit off. If you look closely you can also see the dark green “E” pattern to match the one on his skin’s chest. With of course the “Zipper” color being moved to the bottom layer fabrics.
His sandal color is also his belt color.
Also he has tiny little claws and pointy ears. Because I waited to make him vaguely not human and hadn’t fell in love with Mimicking Mocking Raven Etho like I now have. His not red eye matched his life color, while his red one keeps it’s blood and a cool heart shape.
Then of course he does have a bunch of burn and exposition scars, as well as an arrow scar covered up his mask.
Lastly; he shares some green and brow in his hair from his significant annoyance. Truly the best Murder Bois!

And with that, we’ve gone over all the details except for a obvious detail or two I might’ve forgotten. I tried my best to comb through it all though :)
Okay time for the break down of this pic I drew Because I put a good bit of effort into it and I’m really happy about that ya know?
This is gonna get long and ramblely so the whole thing is under the cut alright?
Alright first of all this picture has two halfs of it, the Pogtopia Era and the implied to be Retirement era Techno that doesn’t make sense timeline wise but Shhhhh. just embrace the Arctic Empire Techno
Keep in mind I’m using the bottom version of the pictures which have no lighting or shadows, I’ll be going over the lighting choices (Whether it be a glow of the giant spot like lighting) at after everything else.
I’m going to start with the Pogtopia bit first! ^u^
The biggest thing of course is Vilbur’s shadow, his glasses all cracked. Something, Something, Symbolism. But in reality I did that because I thought it look cool.
I gave Tommy little devil horns in a tail because it was a neat design I saw around somewhere and really enjoyed it. He’s just a little crime creacher
Another thing about Tommy is his bandana. I love the ever so popular headcanon and included it as well but then wanted to use more green in the picture and so! Green nose bandage!.
I had a hard time deciding whether to go long sleeve like his skin or short sleeve like his youtooz and what not, So I chose both. I also had a little L’manburg flag stiched in. I have a headcanon that Tommy is a good cloths mender but we can pretend that he stitched that in, Or that Wilbur stitched it in, which is why the stiches are armature or if you like the Tommy Mender headcanon, have him learn the skills later on.
I am an obvious fan of SADist so of course I put my own spin on the SBI braids and here’s tommy with basically a small padwan braid XD. Three beads for the three other members. Green for Philza, Orange for Wilbur, and Red for Techno!
Speaking of Techno let’s talk Netherite items. The Blade here has a Netherite helmet on which I used to adapt the popular pig skull/mask design choice for more human looking Techno’s to my more pig Techno. It whitens out his eyes because comic book logic, I guess.
Tommy’s Sword is suppose to be hand made, hence the off center blade, the sporadic bandage/tape, the Netherite plating not covering everywhere showing the weapon’s diamond roots
Onto the Second Part
So okay first things first, They got older. Tommy’s now at least like two or three years older I think??? Around 18ish????? So of course trimmed the baby fat and longer’ed the face, horns, and height.
the Crown change.
So you know how I said the time line is wonky if you break it apart, uhhhhh yeah I don’t think this part will pass the timeline inspection.
So I headcanon that Techno lost his crown when the anvil fell, so he had to build a new one, also that the anvil left him a scar despite the totem of undying doing it’s job. I only highlighted with portions of the scar because I imagine there was a set of scars there before the anvil thus making them deeper than the lighter scars the TOU left when it stitched Techno back to life.
The blue flowers and vines around his crown are Lapis Dye blue. It’s some of Ghostbur’s Blue! I imagine that just like armor “Blue” can customize itself to it’s use’s needs/want’s.
I do not remember the fic but there’s this really cool fanfic that has Techno have magically enchanted piercings to help hold his mask on. Only he can removed the mask with his hand. That is the only way it comes off. It was a really cool idea so here’s him with to Netherite piercings around his hairline/above his eyebrows
Technoglasses for reading and retirement usages
The Bedrock is on a Netherite key chain looking thing because that’s funny to me. Also awkward white glove and figuring out how to put them on hooved hands lead me to this fingerless glove design.
Techno’s hair is inspired by @sigerson6534′s amazing Viking Hair cut Techno. Give them all the love. I tried my hand at it and holy is it hard. I tried it in my other Techno doodle as well but forgot who’s idea was it and where the art was. Not my greatest moment there. How did Sigerson got the hair it to look that good anyways? That’s some true skill. Techno’s hair is sort of more longer and a bit more time can be put into it rather than the presumably faster style of younger Technobraid. He also is on his way of looking like a goat with that face fur XD.
Tommy’s eyes are darker bags underneath, his body more lanky and almost unnaturally thin in certain area’s. Skin tanned skin from being more out in the sun as well. And explosion scars that lines the back and side of his neck... Life was a harsh and it’s players at times gave out only abuse that took and took with nothing to give.
His hair grown out, due to refusal to put anything sharp near his neck. His beads where taken from him by someone not of the SBI dynamic. Also his hair has grown more gold due to golden apple consumption.
Tommy’s youthful bright eyes were stolen and haunted. Meanwhile Techno’s are a blue with a red ring, though if I were to go back to it I would open his other eye and have one eye be red and the other blue. (XD This looks ridiculous up close ajskdhjakshdkjahdkas)
I like the idea of Techno giving Tommy his old cloak but also... Purple allium flower. Of course maybe my boy learned embroidery and did this to spite/steal more of Techno’s stuff. Like how the Racooninit here is showing off this gold apple that there’s only like a ten percent chance that he actually made it.
On his cuffs are the disks Pigstep and Chirp. Chirp because it represents hope to Tommy if I remember correctly and Pigstep because of Power also, Pigstep. The cuffs have four colored dots. Orange for Wil, Green for Phil, Pink for Techno, and Red for him.
His color included here but not in his younger self’s bead braid hairband thing. Read into that how you please
Okay so Tommy with Wilbur’s Pogtopia jacket is a look but also ignnore’s Niki’s actual canon ownership and that’s not funky fresh. So here’s an alternative; Tommy with Wilbur’s L’manberg uniform. This would after all be his happiest memories of Wilbur I like to think. So of course this jacket is a fusion of the ms skin’s coat and the actual coat CC!Wilbur wore. Thus the red lining.
Now I notice on the skin their was some white lining on the tailcoat. I could’ve of done the sensible thing and assume his shirt had a tailcoat or something, but instead I was like “The drama theater kid get’s fancy frills”. The frills by them self took around two hours to do.
Tommy also get’s a blue lapis friendship stone with Techno having a tiny earring to match. Remember when I said in the Og post I was ignoring canon... Yeah. (Techno made a similar tiny matching earring for but Tommy’s refusal to let anything sharp near his face to pierce his ear)
The compass that hang’s off his belt is indeed Thee Your Tubbo compass!
Speaking of his belt: It’s a turtle shell to match his helmet!
The only reason why Phil and Techno wrangled him into the Arctic coat is because he was really cold, had no winter wear while in a tundra, and Philza Minecraft is a lot more passive aggressively petty than many realize.
If you see the Homestuck reference you get a cookie because Blood For The Blood God can be a funny joke too.
The pattern on the blue part(?) of his cloak is one I got/was inspired by a picture depicting ya boy Theseus And then I added some fancy gold and Red&Emerald gems for funsies.
He got’s a fuchsia coat as well to show an semi change of ways but not fully. Be warned; If you attack him, he will pay tenfold.

His cuffs have Emeralds Dimonds and Gold on them with Emerald stars. I guess after getting an earring for Tommy my man had a moment where he was like “But what if Philza thinks I don’t care about him as much any more” or something an proceeded to grab his old Arctic Uniform and Beddaazle the heck out of it with Philza Minecraft Emerald Green.
His belt are the colors of the Arctic Empire flag keeping in theme with the ide that he just pulled out his old uniform and gave it what little fixes it needed.
Is that a big belt? A strange waist wrap. A stylish back brace? A corset? You decide.
His tail curls! There is no real purpose of pointing this out. I just think it’s Neat!
Now time to wrap it up with the glowy stuff!
Speedrun time!
We got Wilbur’s lighter flame. The majority of jewels glow(For magical reasons). Pogtopia Techno’s Mask-eye’s and older Tommy’s eyes(For magical and supernatural reasons) . The compass pointer(For magical reasons) , and both Tommy’s horns and tails.
And last but not least the gapple, which of course glows for magical reasons but it glows yellow and not purple because that would mean it’s a godapple!
Tommy with chests full of godapple’s is a powerful image tbh.
Anyway, congratulations on making it to the end of my rambling!
I hate absolutely everything about breakdowns, but I especially hate those breakdowns where half of me is impatiently waiting for this whole fiasco to be done with, and the other half is just there is no Dana only flashbacks. go all the way or go home @ my brain
