The only thing that gets Alex through a breakup is chocolate. And maybe the candy store’s cashier.
This is my entry for the Let It Roll contest.
When it all comes down, to a sunrise on the East side will you be there to carry home, the remains of my wasted youth, this wasted time on you has left me shaking in waiting for something more.
Alex Gaskarth is in love with the idea of a woman he can never have.
"So you don't want to get married or have kids, ever? You're not going to change your mind later?"
"Are you going to change your mind?"
Loosely based off the episode of Friends where Mike and Phoebe break up.
She was glowing. Make up perfect and a veil tossed a top her styled soft curls. Alex was smiling as she gracefully made her way down, eyes locked on one another.
It was natural of course, something almost known for a decade now, that they would end up here. No matter how much I smile, though, my eyes never corresponded with sincerity. My eyes were too busy watching the bitter sweet event before me, before all our friends and family.
If this is what Alex wants, there is not much I can do, right?
There is not much I should do, but play along and congratulate the newly weds.
To Alex, there's nothing worse than waking up to find that the person you love so much is gone. Even eight years later, he remembers that horrible morning all too well. No note. No explanation. No goodbye. He was left with nothing but memories of the girl who meant everything to him. And the only thing he could do to reach out to her again was write a song. He was lost... until she came back to him. But one morning, he woke up to find her side of the bed empty yet again. Could she really be gone this time?
SEQUEL: Make Me Breakfast
Alex is hungry and wants breakfast. Meg hates waking up early and wants to sleep in. Of course, he's so very demanding and she's so very stubborn.
Takes place a month after Woke Up Alone. Inspired by this tweet.
SEQUEL: The Happiest I’ve Ever Been
Alex is back home, where the band is playing a local show. Meg decides to attend the concert to support him. But their fun is cut short when the arrival of a new life happens on the very same day.
PREQUEL (to the very first instalment): Just Us
The love is ours to make... so we should make it. She doesn't feel like writing any songs at the moment. He's supposed to be at band practice, but he doesn't feel like going. All they want is a weekend off from their responsibilities. So she calls him up and he comes over. It's just the two of them. Couldn't get any more perfect than that.
PREQUEL: Can I Have This Dance?
Keep your eyes locked on mine and let the music be your guide.
Meg just wanted to dance. Alex was going to make sure he fulfilled that wish.
“Don’t know what?” I growl impatiently, getting to my feet.
He gives out a small groan as he plops backwards on my recliner. He shoves his face in his hands, taking small breaths as if his life depended on it. “Jack?” I ask, tapping my foot. “Could you please tell me what the fuck is going on?” He uncovers his face, giving me a look that told me I wouldn’t like what he was about to say. And then he said the three words I never thought I would hear. “Ravyn is back.”
this is really weird but do you know of any jack/holly fics?
I've never found any fics revolving around this pairing, sorry. They're a side-pairing in a few though.

The End Of Jolly
- Chloe
Everyone remembers their first boyfriend and their first real love, especially if they broke your heart.
Lexi Nelson still remembers that one boy even though she's with another guy but what will happen when her first love, Alex Gaskarth, returns?
