Cw- Talk of fertility issues/miscarriages
Berrysnow and Briarburn make me sad when I think about them too much.
They have fertility issues and struggled bad to have kits, with most of their attempts ending in litter loss (my in-universe name for miscarriage).
They couldn't adopt since no kits ever came up for them to adopt, and didn't feel comfortable asking another cat to be a donor or surrogate.
It got better though, because they ended up having four sons that they love dearly. I just imagine them wanting a bigger family and it makes me a little sad that didn't happen for them.
They're still alive so anything is possible...But i dunno. It took them a long time to have the two litters they DID have.
