Once the Country Trolls all fall in love w Branch, they're gonna take one look at his scrawny, tiny ass and collectively think "that won't fly" and then Branch is gonna be stuck w a genre that all want to feed him out of pure love, and he's not gonna know how to handle it

Delta Dawn: "Here, Branch. Another plate for you!"

Branch, surrounded by seven other plates of food: "thx."

Branch will be surrounded by four plates, being sent a 5th, when they remember he only has one stomach to fill, but yes.

There will be at least one nosey country troll listening by the window of Branch’s doctor's appointment (they have to know what type of hard labor they shouldn't put him under and they can't trust him to tell them since his a workaholic) and one mention of underweight and needing food with specific vitamins and Boom!

They're dropping lunches by him as he works and babysitting the trollings. And they never give him anything too sweet, in fact they cut back their spoons of sugar just for him and almost treat sugar like an allergy for Branch because the poor baby does get stomach aches because of the stuff.

Plus, the day they see healthy muscles on Branch is the day country parents are all super proud of him-

And smacking their children (who are Branch’s age group) on the backs of their head for even thinking of trying to persuade a romantic with someone who's got bigger things to worry about.

Give that boi friendship not romantic complications! Be like Hickory! See how much that boy's holding back for Branch but is happy nonetheless!
