Most terrifying moment in game so far oh lord in heaven. As someone bad at games, I've never been so happy I have a game on easy or that I hoard items.

This does bring up more questions though. I may have to revise "no theory about the Death Stranding" if what he's saying about knowing what it truly was is true (Even though I still don't know what it was).

I'm pretty sure I've seen this guy earlier in game, but how does he have connection to the Beach like that? He seemed to imply that he is proof you can physically connect yourself to the Beach as a bridge. l wonder if he's a repatriate as well.

What did he mean about Amelie not having DOOMS like the two of them? I can't remember exact words because that fight wiped my brain, but he said something like she has an extinction factor?? Also he can read minds??? So much for keeping the President's death under wraps.

And why was his BB red? Is it a stylistic choice or do colors mean more? Hmmm... Questions questions.

Post game thoughts and speculations

Major game spoilers though, proceed with caution.

What if Lou really was Sam’s daughter, and the “suicide” of his wife and subsequent voidout was a cover up for them extracting Sam’s daughter to be a BB?

Sam was particularly special, more strongly connected to the other side when he was in a BB pod than any other candidates in the BB program. Then, being removed from his pod, shot and killed, then returned to life by Amelie made him even more unique than before.

Following that line, wouldn’t his daughter have unique qualities? In her reports, Lucy mentions a moment of clarity with Bridget, a dawning realization, horror, terror, that Bridget had plans for her and Lou. She never states what those plans were, but if it’s Bridget, who continued the BB project in secret, it follows that that was her intention.

Continuing the same line, BB-28, Lou, was not working properly with the CDT man, Igor. Assumptions were made that BB-28 was at the end of its life cycle, and marked for disposal, and Sam was told he should not use it because he had DOOMS, and BBs and DOOMS sufferers had a feedback loop issue. Yet, Sam used it to escape BTs, with little trouble from the previous malfunctions.

Deadman later comments that for some reason, BB-28 worked well with Sam’s DOOMS. Making it a special situation.

The speculation now is, IF Lou is Sam’s daughter, compatibility would be present, and if she would have been a DOOMS sufferer, too, that would be why she seemed to develop in ways other BBs did not. Examples being: when Higgs opens fire on Sam, Lou uses the Odradek to deflect many of the bullets, with an expression of anger on her face. And also when Deadman distressed Sam over resetting Lou to rebalance her functionality, she some how “pees” on Deadman by opening a valve on her pod. And lastly, when you successfully escape BT territory, the Odradek waves or gives you a thumbs up, among other gestures; and sure, that a cute way of dispelling the tension of sneaking through enemies, but I also think it has to do with Lou’s developing personality the longer she’s connected to Sam.

Going back to the conspiracy with Lucy.

Sam didn’t get to Lucy before she went necro, how do we know the suicide note wasn’t forged? I’m convinced that Bridget/Amelie has no true feelings toward betraying Sam in that way, and covering it up as a suicide brought on by exposure to chiralium. OR, because there’s a very “Big Brother is Watching” style of 24hour observation going on, she DID overdose on meds but they extracted the fetus before she died, or kept her in an induced coma.

And on that, the stillmothers that produce the fetuses for BBs, they were probably regularly dosed with chiralium until their bodies couldn’t handle it anymore, thus the “induced coma” nonsense, and a possible explanation of why the fetuses used for BBs are so well connected to the other side.

Bridge Babies are called BBs for short, and those weird black ghosts are BTs, right?

Both have the weird ghost umbilical cord thing going on, and Sam initially freaked out at the BB ghost in the Mama trailer.

My theory is the BBs and BTs are the same. Maybe the ones who get discarded end up as BTs? 

Either way, it’s probably way out there, but my theory is we’ll find out all the BTs were BBs once.

I need to do some more digging on this, I haven’t read all of the reports yet, and I’ve only played through once, so this next bit is a work in progress.

I don’t recall seeing anyone older than Sam with DOOMS. We know that Sam is the first person inflicted with DOOMS, caused by Amelie returning him to life as a BB outside of the pod.

There are accounts of people developing DOOMS, but of the ones we have seen, they seemed to be born after Sam.

So, my speculation is: What if the DOOMS sufferers were BBs? Or at the very least, their mothers were exposed to high levels of chiralium for a prolonged time.

Sam uniqueness could be the beginning of humanity evolving to overcome the “inevitable” Sixth Extinction.

When deadman said the bb has a big problem, he said it's gaining weight and having high brain activity, she's becoming an actual child, I don't know how that works like she has no placenta? Does the pod circulate her blood and some oxygen? It seems to be this is the first time it happened to a bb sam is a 2nd mom to lou and since the pod tricks them into thinking that they're still in the womb lou probably thinks that she's in Sam's womb

I’m going to say that the Mechanical looking part on the bottom is the part that acts like a placenta. It’d have to filter the blood and o2 levels when not attached to anyone!

We also know for the pod to 100% trick them into thinking they are still in the womb they have to be connected to he still mother /I don’t know how it works ? Chiral bridge maybe? Because it only connects them when you put them in the wall thing in private rooms,,,,/.

But also, unless you do something that STRESSES Lou out /like fighting or falling or bts/ they stay stable with you /which lends MORE credit to the “Lou has to be plugged physically into sam somehow” theory/ so Lou thinks that Sam is her mother and his hormones and o2 and nutrients are enough to keep her stable.

New anon, but the umbilical cord like thing is inserted into his right side :) You can see the port in his suit for it. There doesn't look like anything is permanently inserted into him when he's showering though, so I guess he just keeps stabbing himself there??? Rip Sam, the things he does for Bridges

@speakingofwhatsarasaid said it connects to the odredeck which makes sense but why would he have all would flash backs only when he plugs into Lou? How would lou be able to stay stable without a connection to a still mother to trick her into thinking she’s still not born? Maybe it’s connected to both Sam and the odredeck?
