25/04/20-Some new flowers in the garden, Redstart on daily exercise walk and sky this afternoon
The Redstart alongside two others seen on the walk were my first of the year. This is a special bird that I did not know I would get to see this year due to the circumstances, so I feel so lucky I could see them today and it made me happy. They are a key ingredient of any spring and summer too in this kind of habitat on these types of days as well as greyer ones they look so beautiful and lovely and red my favourite colour and I’m so pleased I could safely see one this spring after all.
Other wildlife it was nice to see on the walk today included; one of my favourite butterflies the Red Admiral, Green-veined White, Speckled Wood, Robin, Blackbird, Stonechat and I heard a lovely Song Thrush and one of my favourite birds the Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Happy Earth Day!
Testing out the 2000mm zoom Nikon P950 with some beautiful shots of the spring wildlife in New England.
