lil late on the Brimhat Olly trend but here’s a version I am working on :D
Taking the ‘Torch-bearer’ moniker literally, it’s essentially like the Water Vapor contraction but instead of water, fire! The phantasmal fire, for readers who Know. He guides lost travellers back to safety with it (and becomes a ‘local’ legend in many places but doesn’t actually know this which leads to… unintended consequences/interactions/ understandings- maybe some think he is a will o wisp gained sentience and a fondness for humans? Anyway, intresting stories will doubtless be told)
In this version I headcanon that his Brimmed hat has dark veil-like smoke—the colours of the night sky with tiny stars so you can’t see his face—but on occasions if he’s needs to show his face, he just parts the smoke and the pre-arranged logical conditions in the magic spell he drew means the ‘smoke’ catches on fire at the ends, like fabric slowly burning (if that makes sense).
(Him and Qifrey have so much gravitas and drama and then next scene, they are Disasters with a capital D; this extends my lifespan in this trying world)
(so imagine Olruggio doing the whole face reveal to Qifrey in circumstances-as-yet-undetermined, and then, as he talks he takes another step, trips over an exposed root or something and falls flat on his face. Just- just imagine that for a sec. He’s trying so hard, bless him. Qifrey is torn from his anger and fear into hysterical laughter because there, that’s his Olly-brilliant and silly and the brightest star in the dark guiding him to a more hopeful future (even if Qifrey had never considered that as a potential— or wanted it—in the first place))
(Pls also understand that I accidentally made Olruggio’s waist too small the first time round and mentally crashed over the dichotomy of ‘anatomy unbelievable’ and ‘I need hands around his waist as of yesterday’)
