You start with your bread, then you load it with a choice of filling; shrimp, buttermilk fried chicken, pork belly, brisket, mushroom, cauliflower. OR combine them and go for something crazy. Then add a sauce; bourbon bbq, Louisiana hot, voodoo reaper, honey mustard, Cajun mayo, blue cheese mayo, ranch. Poor Boys is definitely the place to go if you’re in Kingston. 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍔 @cuepointldn have been getting a lot of good press recently for their BBQ food. Mursal Saiq, who is an Afghan Muslim, has created a menu that is completely inclusive, so there’s no pork, everything is Halal, and there’s vegan options, plus dairy and gluten free choices. They are doing nationwide deliveries for their BBQ boxes, and I got to try out their brisket buns on the weekend. I LOVED the brisket, and it was so easy to prepare. 20 minutes simmering in boiling water, open up the bag and it’s like it just came off a 12 hour slow cook. I also got to try their Mac and cheese, which I loved, and their Afghan Salata. I’ve heard SO much about their Nacos (naan bread tacos) so I definitely need to check them out soon. This is their sliced brisket, which is part of the Variety Meal Box. It comes in options for 2, 4 or 8 people, and comes with 300g of sliced brisket, buns, gherkins, jalapeños, bbq sauce, cheese, which will all come together to make the brisket bun I have pictured. The variety meal box also comes with veal ribs and mac & cheese. 🧀 Deliveries are within the M25 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and outside the M25 is Tuesday and Thursday. 🚚 The brisket is pre-cooked so only takes a couple of minutes to reheat, so it’s super easy. 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🥩 I was v impressed with the meat from @smokeandbonesuk. The halal Texas bbq guys are selling food kits online and delivering inside the M25 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with deliveries outside on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 🚚 Here we have their veal ribs, which were very nicely peppered. All that was needed was a coat of their bbq sauce and 45 minutes in the oven. The beef rib was really nice, too. Make sure you get your cooking times spot on as the meat is best when it’s sliding off the bone. I managed to get half of it like that, but regardless the meat was still really juicy and melted in your mouth. Their Mac and cheese is available too, you just need to add some cheese to the top to make a crust. I thought it was great, sometimes Mac and cheese is disappointing but this hit the spot. These Cheesy Barbecue Brisket Sandwiches Made in a Slow Cooker are the best comfort food ever. Tender beef brisket cooked slowly in barbecue sauce until it falls apart. Melted cheddar cheese on top, and soft buns in the middle.

Ingredients: 3-4 lbs beef brisket. 1 cup barbecue sauce. 1 cup beef broth. 1 onion, sliced. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 8 sandwich buns.

Instructions: In the bottom of the slow cooker, put sliced onions. On top of the onions, put the brisket. Cowboy sauce and beef broth should be poured over the brisket. On low heat, cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours, or until the beef is soft. Take the beef out of the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it. Warm up the broiler. Put split sandwich buns on a baking sheet. Put meat shreds and cheddar cheese on top of each bun. Broil for two to three minutes, or until the cheese melts and starts to bubble. Enjoy while hot!
