looking for some help with some rocks ive found! this is from a rocky beach that is lush with fossils, mostly like the ones in the first picture. i know what those are, but the other two have me super excited. the cracked egg looking rock looks like it could be split and may have something inside - but its the sandstone striated beast im the most interested in. could it be a bed of tiny ammonites? might it also have something worth splitting it for? should i get these bad boys cracked open??
We will be working flat out for the next two weeks to bring you some major updates and videos. Exciting times and happy to be back on Dinosaur Island. #iow #isleofwight
Prepping Temnodontosaurus Bone Blocks | Prepping with Ali by UK Fossils In this UK Fossils episode of Prepping with Ali, I’m prepping and treating Temnodontosaurus bone blocks from Lyme Regis on the Dorset coast, carefully cleaning and stabilising these incredible Jurassic marine reptile remains to reveal their hidden detail. Temnodontosaurus fossils from Lyme Regis can be extremely fragile and require precise preparation to expose bone structure without damaging the surrounding matrix. In this video, I’ll show you: ✔️ How to safely prep Temnodontosaurus bone blocks ✔️ How to remove matrix while preserving delicate fossil bone ✔️ How to stabilise and consolidate fragile material ✔️ How to treat and protect marine reptile fossils for long-term preservation These Jurassic fossils from the Lyme Regis area of the Dorset Coast (Jurassic Coast) offer a fascinating glimpse into the powerful marine reptiles that lived in ancient seas around 190 million years ago. Whether you collect fossils, minerals, or crystals, this guide will help you prep and preserve vertebrate fossils safely and effectively. 🔔 Subscribe for more fossil prep, crystal care, and mineral restoration in the Prepping with Ali series. ⸻ Follow us; INSTAGRAM: https://ift.tt/dQ18zap FACEBOOK: https://ift.tt/oA1uUKV TIKTOK: https://ift.tt/sgfEorT Buy Fossils and Tools from our UK Fossils website; https://ukfossils.com FOSSIL HUNTING GUIDES: https://ukfossils.co.uk via YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ss9SLdo9b0
