“I find the entitlement of the spares repulsive. Let’s take Harry for example. He wants his children to be Prince and Princess like William’s kids are. According to him and his wife, it’s their birthright. Sure. But what about birth duties? It’s not just rights and privileges. William shared the births of his children, pictures of them, introduced them slowly to the public. The public knows about their education and now they even meet with them. They are expected to show up during big events and behave as a Prince and Princess. In the future William’s children will be scrutinized in the press while they will be expected to serve the nation of which they are Prince and Princess. Meanwhile Harry’s kids don’t live in the UK, will never serve the country, have completely private lives that do nothing for the nation. If William was as whiny as Harry he too could complain. The fact is that Harry’s children having titles is absolute nonsense. Titles always came with a responsibility to the royal family or the nation. Whether that was being a future king, being married off for diplomacy or just serving the nation. It should not just be an ego status thing for useless spares with no jobs or talents who are forever trying to get everything his brother has without any of the setbacks or expectations of duty.” - Submitted by Anonymous
