you were casually strolling back to the staff office to do a change of outfit (jisung have given you a proper one now with actual pants and all) and put your belongings away. it was going to be your first day of night shift and most day shift staff would be on their way home by now. you wondered if everyone was resting well at home.

opening the door, the everyone in your mind was casually sitting down on the lounge section of the staff office.

YOU: Oh! Hello! /you chirped, being in a good mood.

you scanned your eyes around and was surprised to see so many day shift staff still here. there was yongguk, seungwoo, youngmin and woojin. you also spot donghyun sitting next to youngmin giving you some sort of a sign... which you couldn't break down or comprehend. but you did pick up the tension in the room.

YOU: Is... everyone okay? /you slowly started.

DONGHYUN: Haha of course we are hey guys? We should get home now. It's been an hour since all of you dorks sat down and contemplated about life!

YOU: *what are they doing.. are they... perhaps...?*

DONGHYUN: (y/n) where did you go anyway?? /panicking by this stage.

YOU: I went out for a late lunch and then I was just walking around to kill time before my shift started *they must be forming a meditation club* /you watched as all four doctors sat still with their heads down. *ooooh they could be playing heads down thumbs up... i wanna join*

DONGHYUN: See guys? She only went to lunch! /looks around. Who did you go with anyway?

YOU: With hyeongseob /you replied while shuffling through your bag and reaching out for your phone. Yongguk-ssi you never called me so I wasn't sure if you were finished or not /smiles at him. Was there something that you needed to tell me?

YONGGUK: /flustered you remembered. O-oh? Uh no... I was just going to call you *come on make an excuse* .....if i needed you to do another errand

YOU: /nods. Oh sure, feel free to contact me in the future. Well, I'll take my leave now /heads to the female locker room.

SEUNGWOO: ..........apparently she went to a cute cafe with that white rabbit

[BRODUCE 911] EP.19 The I See You (ICU) Team

covering your face, you walked out of the staff office with taedong and wished that things would end right here and now.

YOU: *oh my god i'm going to go home and go to church and pray--- what am i doing. I'M SUPPOSED TO BE AN INTERN OH HOLY WHALE-*

TAEDONG: /coughs. Uhm Jisung and Gunhee can be real crazy sometimes... but they're good guys

YOU: ...did you have to wear things like this as well when you interned?

TAEDONG: I was... /looks away. in a banana suit for the first three days /cries internally at the memory.

YOU: /gasped and immediately empathise with him. You've been... through a lot too /covers your mouth and sobs.

TAEDONG: /clenches his fist. I'll never forget the humiliation when they made me do rounds and handed out... bread to the patients.

YOU: /is crying dramatically by now. S-so you were

TAEDONG: /closes his eyes shut. Yes. I was.

TAEDONG: I was a banana bread.

as you cry at each others' pain, the both of you made your way to the second level to the ICU area and taedong introduced you to the nurses who were mainly rostered there.

TAEDONG: So this is Kim Sungri, Joo Jinwoo and Kim Yehyun... they're the ICU nurses and if you're working here, they'll be the ones teaching you the ropes. There is also another nurse named Park Woodam... but he's helping out at ED while I'm taking a break /nods.

SUNGRI: Hey I remember you! You're the-

JINWOO: /slaps sungri's mouth shut. /whispers to him. Remember what Doctor Im said. A word and we're dead. /talks normally at you and taedong. Ah yes, the new intern right? /lets go of the struggling sungri. We're the ones who run this place under the supervision of Doctor Parks but they're both helping out with ED while the ED doctors are helping out with surgeries.

YOU: /blinks. Why is that so?

YEHYUN: The big accident last night was a bus crashing into a truck and there was a lot of passengers. They were all transferred here and there's just not enough hands.

SUNGRI: Doctor Im and Doctor Kang comes by every chance they can to help out at ICU though so we're not that screwed.

YOU: Oh I see /nods.

TAEDONG: We'll get going then. I was just introducing her to the other nurse /waves and walks out with you.

SUNGRI: Was the nurse outfit always so provocative?

YEHYUN: Nope. I think it's just her 3 day curse.

SUNGRI: /shivers. I wasn't batman. I wasn't batman. I wasn't batman.

after parting ways with the rest of the group, youngmin led you to his car where he assured you that another GP had him covered for the rest of the day.

YOU: ...are you sure you're not skipping? /eyes him suspiciously.

YOUNGMIN: /grins in an endearing manner. Ofc. I told you Doctor Kang's taking over there rest of the day. He owed me one anyway /reaches over to put the seatbelt on you.

YOU: ...are you extra sure

YOUNGMIN: /chuckles. Positive! /prepares his GPS. So where did you live again?

YOU: 11 Picker Street. It's the 101 Apartment building.

YOUNGMIN: /slowly turns to look at you.

YOU:

YOU: ..yes?

YOUNGMIN: ...I...live there too

YOU: /blink. Oh what a coincidence!

YOUNGMIN: What number?

YOU: 101

YOUNGMIN: /dejected. Oh, you're in level 10... Daniel and Woojin lives there... Actually Sewoon and Jinyoung also live in level 10...

YOU: /surprised. Whoa. Why is there so many people from the hospital who's living there?

YOUNGMIN: ...it's the closest apartment around with a decent model /scratches his nape. Everyone went there the moment it was built.

YOU: ...So do I practically see you all... all the time?

YOUNGMIN: /chuckles. Everyone's shifts are different so not really

YOU: What level are you on Youngmin-ssi?

YOUNGMIN: Level 8 /smiles. There's also Donghyun, Donghan, Taemin and Hyeongseob who lives there

YOU: /interested. I see

YOU: Who's Taemin? /blinks.

YOUNGMIN: He's our speech pathologist. He's a really bright and amusing kid /chuckles. I think you'll get along with him

YOU: ...by the way?

YOUNGMIN: Yes?

YOU: Who's Daniel and Sewoon?

YOUNGMIN: Daniel's a GP as well and he's the one taking over my evening shift.

YOUNGMIN: Sewoon's our radiologist /smiles. You'll meet the both of them soon enough

TAEDONG: /puts his phone back into his pocket after using it. I just got a call from ED. /nods at you. We have to go.

YOU: /nods eagerly. *oh my god, the emergency department! i can't wait to see how things work there!* /hella excited.

TAEDONG: Firstly, don't leave my side unless a supervisor asks you to do something okay?

YOU: /nods.

TAEDONG: And by supervisor, it's either Jisung, Gunhee or any of the doctors.

YOU: /nods.

TAEDONG: Don't panic when you see blood and people screaming at you for help okay?

YOU: /nods twice. Yes sir!

TAEDONG: /smiles and nods back. Let's go intern Park.

when arriving at the ED. taedong wasn't kidding about people screaming everywhere. there were nurses rushing in and out of beds and shoving charts onto the doctor's hands and just people crying or shouting in general. even from this distance you can see a lot of blood.

KENTA: Taedong! There was another accident! This time it was a crash of five cars because the first car skidded and crashed onto the vesicle on the next lane and so forth! /hands taedong some documents. Hand these over to Sewoon for me! Samuel's is too busy to deliver it himself!

TAEDONG: Sewoon's not in his office the last time I checked

KENTA: Yeah he's with the surgical department to discuss the operations so it runs smoothly one another another-

???: Kenta! Bed fifteen needs help!

KENTA: I'm coming Woodam! /turns back to taedong. Just hurry and deliver it we've got no time!

TAEDONG: Sure. /was about to talk about but turns to you quickly. Just go find a supervisor and ask for things to do. Either Jisung or Gunhee should be here so try to grab them if you can. I need to go! Bye! /dashes out.

YOU: /stares at the chaos in front of you and approaches the nearest person with a white coat. Is there anything that I can help you with?

JIHOON: (y/n)? /turns around and stops for a second to scan you. ...cosplaying?

YOU: /blushes. N-no! I was given this uniform by the head nurse.

JIHOON: /chuckles. They really need to stop bullying the newbies. I just need more bandages. Can you go to the pharmacy through that door right there /points. And ask for some more supplies?

YOU: /nods quickly and heads for the door. /enters the pharmacy through the back door. Excuse me?

donghan pops up from behind a rack with an arm full of medications and halts in his track to take a good look at you.

DONGHAN: /scrunches his eyebrows. ...cosp-

YOU: /sighs. No... I'm just being bullied

DONGHAN: /grins. They did a good job this time though.

YOU: /laughs dryly. ...yeah

DONGHAN: So. What are you here for?

YOU: Doctor Park Jihoon sent me for more bandages and first aid supplies.

DONGHAN: /puts the medicine he's been holding into a bag. Rather than that can you please go to surgery room one and deliver this to Yongguk for me please? The ED is just out there so I'll do your errand for you /hands you the bag.

YOU: /nods. Sure! Thanks Donghan! /walks out and heads towards the surgery suites.

DONGHAN: /talks to himself. That nurse outfit is pretty nice /smiles.

you headed out of the ED through a connecting hallway and followed a sign which said 'surgical department'. you paced yourself quicker to finally locate surgery one. scanning your staff card (which was given by jisung this morning), you headed inside to find yongguk taking off his doctors coat to gown up into a surgeon set-up.

YONGGUK: ...(y/n)? /he tilts his head to the side.

YOU: I'm doing Donghan's errand for you- what do I do with these meds? /opens the bag to show him.

YONGGUK: Just place it on the tray right there and Heeseok would fix it for you /washes his hands and arm throughly before gowning up. Thanks for the stuff. I'll see you later

YOU: /bows and was about the exit the room.

YONGGUK: (y/n)?

YOU: Is there anything else you need? /turns around.

YONGGUK: /eyes the bottom of your dress worryingly. Pull your dress lower

YOU: /flustered and looks down to see it ridden up towards the top of your thighs and immediately pulls it down. T-thanks

YONGGUK: /clears his throat. Call me later

YOU: ...pardon?

YONGGUK: Actually I'll call you. Jonghyun sent your work number to everyone.

YOU: /nods. I'll excuse myself now.

you walked out of the surgery feeling embarrassed at your outfit. sighing, you were about to leave the surgery department when hyeongseob walks towards you with a shocked expression.

HYEONGSEOB: H-hi... you're wearing something u-unique today /tries to advert his eyes.

YOU: Yeah... It was given by the head nurse /you sighed.

HYEONGSEOB: D-don't worry! You look great /tries to cheer you up.

YOU: /blushing. T-thanks. Um I need to go now-

HYEONGSEOB: /gently places a hand on your shoulder. Um... O-oh yeah! There's this really nice cake store nearby. D-do you want to try it out during lunch?

YOU: /eyes sparkle at the word cake. I'd love to! I haven't gone cake hunting in such a long time! I'll message you later Hyeongseob! Good luck with your- um, measurements!

HYEONGSEOB: /smiles. Thanks! I'll need it!

turning around on your heel and walking the other way, your mind could only drool at the mention of cake. to be honest, you haven't eaten anything sweet for a while now due to your finals and now interning. you're glad hyeongseob asked you.

arriving back at the ED, the number of screaming people have decreased and most patients were sorted out in such a small amount of time. you gasped in awe. you spot woojin doing his rounds and laughing along with the patients as he gave out encouragements and reassurances. his eyes scans around at the intuition that someone was looking at him and his eyes landed on yours. blinking, you can see his cheeks slowly becoming redder as he excused himself from the patient and threaded carefully towards you.

P.WOOJIN: ...(y/n)?

YOU: Hello Doctor Park /you greeted.

P.WOOJIN: Um...what are you doing here? /scratches his head.

YOU: I was just helping out doing errands since everyone's pretty busy /looks around. Is there anything else that I can help you with?

P.WOOJIN: Well... /looks around. It's all pretty much sorted except for patients awaiting to go into surgery. There's not enough surgeons but I guess you can't do anything much about that hug /jokes playfully.

YOU: *I thought he was a quiet person but he seems to like joking around* /you smiled at the thought.

P.WOOJIN: It's two hours until lunch... do you want to accompany me back to the ICU? Jihoon and Jisung-hyung got everything under control here /glances at you.

YOU: Yeah sure! I was supposed to stick with Taedong but he's nowhere to be seen /smiles.

P.WOOJIN: /hands you his white coat. Wear this until we get to ICU... I'll get you a blanket or something. /turns his head to the side.

YOU: It's ok I'm not feeling cold /shakes your hand.

P.WOOJIN: No... I insist /looks at you straight in the eye.

somehow, you felt shy at his gaze and complied. the two of you went to ICU silently with you casually stealing glances at woojin from time to time. he seems to have not noticed due to being lost in thoughts. before you could set a foot into ICU, woojin received a call.

P.WOOJIN: Jihoon? Another emergency? Ok. Bye. /end the call and looks at you. Uhm I need to go now /stares at you

YOU: Oh yeah um bye

P.WOOJIN: /smiles. Excuse me /leans in to slowly strip the coat off you. I'll need this back /mutters timidly. I'm going now

YOU: ...have a safe trip...? /you questioned your own statement.

P.WOOJIN: /smiles. See you later

YONGGUK: You better sit down first (y/n)... you don't look so good /checks for your temperature. Actually, you're burning up a little. /sighs in a worried manner.

YOU: I need to apologise to the other Doctor Park...

YONGGUK: You can do it once you get well

YOU: ...I need to return his clothes and get back my clothes from someone

YONGGUK: ...now that you mentioned it- you're not wearing the clothes you had on yesterday.

YOU: /embarrassed. Yeah... I vomited all over me and Doctor Park apparently.

YONGGUK: I see. Explains why you have Woojin's hoodie on and Minki's shorts. /pats your shoulder reassuringly. Don't worry. Woojin will forgive you even if you never apologised.

YOU: What? No! That's just wrong /shakes your head quickly to strongly refute his statement.

JAEHWAN: Oh! It's the famous Park! /approaches the two of you.

JAEHWAN: Always chummy with the surgical department I see /wiggles brows.

HYEONGSEOB: /eyes you with a concerned gaze. Are you ok (y/n)?

YOU: I'll survive /laughs slowly.

YOU: Um Doctor Park? /looks up with bright eyes.

P.WOOJIN: /fails to hide behind hyeongseob. Oh... um yes?

JAEHWAN: Oh! Look! It's Youngmin and Daehwi! /waves. Waddup homeboys!

YOU: /tries to conceal your identity. *oh my god youngmin's gonna scold me. i waLKED STRAIGHT OUT OF THE ROOM HE TOLD ME TO REST AT-*

YOUNGMIN: /clears his throat while staring at you upon arrival. And...who discharged you from the room?

YOU: Um...sorry for vomiting all over you yesterday /ashamed. I'll pay for the cleaning costs-

P.WOOJIN: ... /blushing slightly. You can treat me dinner instead.

[BRODUCE 911] EP.17 The Morning After

that day, youngmin escorted you to the door of your apartment before scolding you lightly about resting up and taking the whole day off. properly. he then disappeared into the elevator and left you to your own accord. you took a long bath with bubbles and all and went straight to bed to watch the series you've neglected for the last day and a half. before you know it, your eyes drooped close and you fell into dreamland.

'She got me goin crazy~' your alarm rang exactly at 6 in the morning. groaning, you reached out for your phone to silent the damn thing. sniffling, you sat up and rubbed your tired eyes. your eyes slowly opened and it landed on the bags of trash sitting nicely in the corner.

YOU: *oh yeah... i was too tired to take the trash out last night* /sigh.

you slowly rolled over the edge of your bed and dropped onto the floor before groaning and standing up to do your duties as a grown up. you exited your apartment and looked around to see if anyone else was awake during this time. the elevator dinged at the precise moment that you shut your door. an unrecognisable male walked out and yawned.

???: /stops to take a double take on you. Oh! It's Park (y/n)!

you gaved him a blank expression and bowed politely, not really knowing who you were.

???: /stunned for a moment and realises you don't know him; chuckles. Silly me. My name's Kang Daniel /offers a hand.

YOU: /realises. Oh! The doctor who covered Youngmin... /realises you're missing something -ssi.

DANIEL: /grins. Yeah that's me. /stretches like a cat. Unfortunately, after that... /yawns. There was a big accident so the ED (emergency department) had to call in more doctors- Youngmin also had to go /laughs. He looked really disheveled when he came in so we assumed he was sleeping really soundly.

YOU: /nods understandingly.

DANIEL: /examines your outfit and prop. Are you going out to throw your trash?

YOU: /looks down at your couple of bags and nods. Yeah, I didn't get the chance to yesterday...

DANIEL: Wait I'll go with you. I have a mountain of those in my doorway /quickly walks to his apartment, unlocks it and rushes in.

YOU: /stares at him absentmindedly. *w-what do i do?*

DANIEL: /comes out real quick with a few bags of trash. Let's go /ushers you to the elevator again.

YOU: A-ah yes

DANIEL: ...so are you ok after the company dinner? /tries to make small talks inside the elevator.

YOU: /adverts eyes. I wouldn't say ok...

DANIEL: It's cool- everyone gets trashed during company dinners so you weren't the only one /chuckles. Although you were the first one that night

YOU: /gazes at him with hope. There were others...?

DANIEL: Oh yeah! There were heaps! Minhyun and Ong got tipsy after you. I think the emperor was really embarrassed and took too many shots without remembering! He was singing love songs all night long /chortles. Taemin was screaming his heads off after his second shot and Jaehwan was doing a sexy dance on Dongho /sniggers. It was a mess really

YOU: /sighs in relief. Thank god I wasn't the only one

DANIEL: Nah. You seem pretty tame in comparison to the others- ...but the virgin thing got me surprised though /grins.

YOU: /facepalm. Can we skip this topic please?

DANIEL: /smiles. Sure thing /elevator opens. Let's go get rid of our trash, shall we? /lets you get off first.

when you got out of the building to the trash area on the side alleyway, you sniffled and realised how cold it was this morning. daniel, being the kind soul he is, nonchalantly placed his jacket on your shoulders and reassured you he wasn't cold at all. he helped you with sorting the trash and the both of you were about to go back in when a figure jogged past you two. it backtracked and gasped.

SEUNGWOO: (Y/N)!

YOU: Hello Seungwoo-ssi /you offered a wave.

SEUNGWOO: ...and daniel /glumly looks at him.

DANIEL: Why do you look so offended? I'm your best friend here? /scoffs.

SEUNGWOO: /makes a face at him and turns back to you. Are you heading to the hospital? I'll take you there! I heard from Youngmin you live on the tenth floor. I'm on the eleventh floor number 111.

YOU: Ah, I see

SEUNGWOO: When you visit be careful though! Everyone on that level's name all start with S! There's two Seungwoos! Well our spelling is different~

YOU: /laughs lightly. Is that so? I'll make sure to take note of that

SEUNGWOO: /satisfied with seeing you laugh.

DANIEL: Don't you all need to be at the hospital at 7? It's almost 6:30 now /stares at his watch.

SEUNGWOO: Oh crap! I'll head in first (y/n)! I'll wait for you at the car park! Bye Niel! Have a good rest!

YOU: /glances at daniel. Taking the day off?

DANIEL: /smiles. Yeah. I've been trapped in the hospital for three days in a row so they gave me a day off! Youngmin's got it bad though- he's still there helping out minhyun and hyunbin! Seungwoo's also a trained EP (emergency physician)

YOU: /blinks for a second. I thought Minhyun-ssi and Seungwoo-ssi are surgeons?

DANIEL: That's true, they are general surgeons /grins. But Seungwoo went back to school to qualify for a dual degree a few years back and Minhyun just finished his- so he's training under Jaehwan for experience

YOU: /nods. I see. They're so hard-working

DANIEL: Yeah but you should really get going /glances at his clock. You're going to be late (y/n)

YOU: /looks at your phone and gasps at the time. Oh god! Thanks for helping me Daniel-ssi! /bows. Have a good day! /waves and runs inside the building.

YOUNGMIN: As promised, I'll drop you home after I finish my shift at five ok? I'll see if someone else can cover me so you can go home earlier. /pats your head. Don't overexert yourself ok? As your personal doctor I condemn you from any stress or lengthy physical activities. Rest well ok?

YOU: /nods endearingly and waves back at youngmin as he exits the room while reciprocating the gesture.

looking down, you find yourself in a completely different outfit from yesterday. you had a large hoodie on with a pair of basketball shorts. ...you definitely did not change yourself into this.

YOU: /clothes onto head. Forget embarrassment... I can't get married anymore

???: Wow that's some hardcore regret right there /whistles.

YOU: /stares at the stranger on the doorway and squints. ...do I know you....sorry?

???: Oh don't be sorry cutie. Noooo, you don't know me... but I surely do know you /wiggles brows.

your head aches. it aches real bad. and your bed isn't as soft and fluffy as it used to be- so you struggle to find a comfortable position to continue your sleep in. the room is dimly lit but your internal clock was screaming for you to open your eyes while your continuously hard-hitting fatigue was keeping you faint and extremely exhausted.

???: Are you awake? /a hand comes and checks the temperature of your forehead. No fever. That's good.

YOU: ...uhm where am I? /with your blurred vision, you try to zoom in as much as you can on the person in front of you.

???: The sleeping quarters on level three /sits down beside the bed. You were hella crazy last night! I like you!

YOU: Oh yes... hm ok /realises what the other person said. cRAZY?! /sits up straight and the headache comes back much harder.
