This is my starting point. The first stage is a delicate process. To put the gilded pieces in a box with a couple of hard boiled eggs. The sulphur will begin to slightly discolour the silver. This process will only work on genuine silver. Not on aluminium Dutch Metal Leaf. Then the colours in the patina will guide the decoration. In my mind I can already see it but I will allow myself to take detours. Hello! 💙 Today I want to show again a few from my brooches collections. Artists brooches of the USSR, put on massmarket. Cold and hot enamel. Popular in the 60s in the USSR northern romance of a harsh region and one children brooch with cat. Brooches like this don't come along very often. Love this asymmetric shapes. Because of the war, I do not replenish this collection. In the center is a miniature box: lips balsam box or pillbox, blue hot enamel floral pattern, Lenemalier plant, presumably the 50s, but maybe earlier, some collectors indicate the 30s, I have not yet been able to find out for sure. And in the corners, Soviet powder boxes too with cold and hot enamel.
