something wrong with your stew, brother gregor?
And yet more KCD1 Monastery replay:
So, apparently if I chose to kill another novice I can't leave the monastery with pious so one reload and change of plans later...
Pious is a bullshitter almost at Henry's level. His dad's dagger my ass. He is such a lying liar no wonder he has so much chemistry wiht Henry. Henry has a type in men and it's outrageous liars (looking at you, Hans).
Last time he poisoned me so accusing him is a new interaction for me and I love this entire interaction. First:
Pious, you just told me off for sneaking into the Prior's office and reading the Abbott's book, when you likely did the same to know Gregor is supposed to be Karl. Which means Pious suspected Henry since early enough to do this research.
3. He calls Henry a bloodhound in this version too:
4. Henry's response to it is also interesting, since he says this:
Doesn't want to be like Runt. Doesn't want to be like Istvan even if he doesn't know it's him yet.
I bet he was thinking about how he crushed in Runt's skull, how good it felt, how natural, how righteous, how he'd do it again, how it should not have felt good, how he throw up afterwards in disgust with himself.
He wants to kill for justice, like Hans's ideals of the nobility of upholding justice and protecting their people, but Henry knows he can enjoy it. He knows and I think it scares him. If you tell Pious you chose to kill someone, Pious calls you out that you don't have to kill anyone, that it would burden Henry's soul (he cares about Henry's soul, kill me), to which Henry replies:
I added his face here cause he looks so sad. His voice is not emotional, but he agrees with Pious it'll burden his soul, but he'll deal with it. Like he dealt with Skalitz burning, like he dealt with killing Runt, like he'd deal with Semine and Maleshov burning.
And this got me to think how Henry is more ruthless than Pious. Pious may be the ex-bandit between them but Henry is willing to go so much further and cause so much more harm to others (and himself) than Pious. Which is fascinating! And such a fun element of this dynamic and why Pious ask Henry to get the keys/lockpicks, because he is a good judge of people (he sees Jodok could become dangerous) and he can see Henry, for all his awkward and bumbling moments, is a dangerous and capable individual — dangerous because he won't give up and would go as far as he needs to go.
Though, Pious is assertive though. I tried to threaten him in one of the times I ran the confrontation about his backstory and even though it looked like my skill for it was way higher than Pious I still failed. Pious isn't cowed and swings back when threatened because of course he does.
5. Like, a note on the last note: Pious is very against killing unnecessarily, he does seem honest about that. And he is disappointed if Henry tells him he'll just kill a different novice.
6. This:
Did Pious just ask him to run away with him? I think he did. Because only after Henry calls him an "evildoer who found god" and acts skeptical about him does Pious mention Henry going back to his people and Pious running off on his own:
Because both these offers are different things.
The first suggests Pious is trying to convince Henry to leave the bandit nobodies, to not be a pawn, then in the second he tells him to go back to his people who a second ago he said were using Henry. I am probably overthinking it, but it's fun, so I will.
I mean, Antonius folds so fast. There isn't even a skill check. You just accuse him, he confesses to everything and brings up a plan to fake his death and run away together.
Why is he not a romance warhorse? He has way way more chemistry with Henry than Bartosch. Really more chemistry than all the romance options that are not Hans and Theresa. And he didn't even poison me this time around!
7. Pious asks you to hand over the lockpick and picks the lock on the door to the monastery himself. Considering Pious knew how to get lockpicks inside the monastery, it's possible he did go out to get that dagger he has or other things. And then the question is why Henry had to get the lockpick, Brother Antonius?
8. When running away after their soft little goodbyes and thankyous with even more chemistry, as Henry watches Pious leave, Pious glances back once before he keeps walking! There was something fucking there and my gregorious mind is feral about it. I will draw them at some point I promise, I really want to.
you know your life is complete when you get your very own @sufalls comic…
I love this sooooooooooooooooooo much ham you don’t understand, there are no words!
I seriously love how you adapted the story for this I’m crying tears of joy

my hangorious fic it’s from if you guys were wondering
Today I have been compelled to draw some KCD monastery boys getting to know our Henry. For full bodied sin, please visit my 18+ blusky 😏
Im soooo normal about these two, so regular about them!!! ^-^
More doodles of alt AUs, maybe after he escapes the monastery he rebuilds his life as a scandalous merchant, wanted in 10 cities.
An angel in disguise.
I kinda rushed through the next few main quests, ooops. So I'm in the monetary again. But on the way there:
Henry, you mentioned you worked for Radzig already, you don't need to lie about your bill of authority and shame blacksmith Zach's son for not being able to read! He already believed you!
Also, I love how Radzig repeatedly calls Henry "my boy" and "my lad" lets him get away with promising things in his name, and tells him to be carful. I love Dadzig. He does care about Henry, he is just also his employer who realized Henry is the most competent man in all Bohemia right now.
And now I'm back in the monastery. Yay!
My gregorious heart loves this cheek kiss, but I do want to note Siskin and Jodok do walk towards Henry at the end of the cutscene, probably to kiss him in welcome as well, but we're only shown Antonius kissing him. God, I missed Pious. Anyway, only Lucas walks away and doesn't kiss Henry. Poor Lucas is so scared of his attraction to men.
Anyway, now to figure out Pious again! And fake his death again! This time I'm not using the fake blood, this time I'm killing Jodok.
(Also last time it took me 10 in-game days to do everything, I'm trying for 5 in-game days at most, while doing all the monastery side quests because I know what I'm doing this time. The first time I was sooo scared of doing shit until I realized I had practically free reign of the monastery at night and the brothers love answering Henry's frankly odd questions)
