Strawhat Frenemies - Alignment Chart

This is an incomplete chart of all the strawhats' frenemies - enemies who have worked with the strawhats at least once, or turned into friends.

Now some of these may be controversial, so I'll justify my decisions:

Hancock: She's very much a piratey pirate, and is probably still a tyrant in the background.

Zeus: he worked for Big Mom, but he didn't really have any choice in the matter.

Smoker and Tashigi: They're not higher simply because they have been in the World Government for a long time and not opposed slavery or anything like that. They're still my favourite marines after Issho tho.

Kuzan: He has good intentions, but unlike Issho he's never been shown freeing slaves, and he had to have followed the Celestials' orders as an Admiral.

Garp: Not as low as Kuzan since he refused to work under the Celestials, but still pretty low for not doing anything about them.

Bellamy: He's a friend because Luffy said so.

Wyper: While he is portrayed unsympathetically for much of skypiea, he does it for a noble cause. I mean, he doesn't do anything worse than the strawhats have done.

I'm going to do a version 2, since it will get cluttered if I put too many on there.

the scene where caesar messes up brownbeard and all the men were laughing bc he got tongue tied and fell to his knees has got to be one of the most disturbing things in one piece. the manipulation that caesar clown put those people and kids into is so terribly vile.

From Volume 68 - Chapter 678 / Season 10 Episode 604. Roronoa Zoro is disappointed to hear from Usopp that Luffy has once again not taken their foe seriously enough, and paid for it. While this kind of thing was expected from Luffy two years ago, the pain of failure was too costly in Sabaody Archipelago, and everybody has been training for two years to make sure they're ready for the New World, so it wouldn't happen again.

I‘m rewatching some stuff and idk, if I’m the only one, but I always thought, it was weird that nobody mentioned again, that Hawkins was the one, who raided Brownbeard.

Like, that happened directly after Marineford.

Yk, that scene where Hawkins is reading the newspaper, Brownbeard tries to be cool, and Hawkins just goes I see the shadow of death on your face and attacks him.

That scene literally sets up Brownbeard for Punk Hazard Arc, and tells us a bit more about, what kind of a character Hawkins is.

The fact that nobody really mentions it again though… I don’t know, it just feels weird.

It‘s like the fact, that Hawkins had the 3rd highest bounty before the timeskip. Nobody quite knows why, I guess one can assume, given that he kills people when his cards tell him to, but other than that we‘re left hanging.

I think that‘s sad. He had a lot of potential.
