Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #2
He is so beautiful, and he knows it.
all of my boys are my boys, except bruce springsteen who is my man bc “mister i ain’t a boy, no i’m A MAN, and i believe in the promised land.”
You guys.
I can’t even express how thrilled I am with all the generous comments you gave me on “This Gun’s for Hire.” Thank you. I’m overwhelmed.
For all of you who are swooning because of the song, or because of BRUCE, I should point out that the lovely @otterandterrier made a line from the song one of the prompts for this week’s Scoundress Saturday, so she gets a lot of the credit for that one. (Happy birthday, my friend!)
But once I thought about it, I was like, “yeah, that’s a Han song, for sure.” The beat of it, Bruce’s voice, “this gun’s for hire” (because he’s literally a hired gun at this point in the story, AND because he’s offering to be the spark Leia needs to actually wake up and reinhabit her own life). And the more I read the full lyrics, the more I thought, “yep, that’s Leia at this point, too”--tired of herself, “ain’t getting nowhere”, still “worrying about your little world falling apart”. They need each other, not in the sense of using each other for excitement, but in the sense of needing that connection and understanding that the other can bring them. And sex could be some of the answer to that (see: Winter’s voice in Leia’s head), but as Han notes, “There’s more than one way to feel alive.” And they need more.
This was a really long-winded way of saying thank you, but--thank you @organanation, @jewelsverne, @luv15, @ewokkey, @otterandterrier, @jedifish81, @jediofgrace, @graciecatfamilyband, @knightedrogue, @erindarroch, @yoyomarules, @jhgraham, @cicatrick, @jennycbs and everyone else who reblogged or commented. Y’all made my day.
How can you fit so much awesomnes in one photo? (via @RealHughJackman Twitter)
