BTS - Flower Arrangements (J-Hope x Nana)

Contains: Fluff. Humour. Nana’s birthday. Mentions of Suga x Jeong-sun

This fic is set around 6 months following Hoseok’s discharge from the military. 

We wanted to show some moments between the members and their girlfriends that may not seem grand or important in the long run, but that highlight some of the conversations they might have in private. We also don’t want to shy away from some of the arguments, disagreements or bickering that might take place. More couples to follow soon.

Hoseok carefully unplucked a stem from the vase, shaking it slightly to dislodge the droplets of water on the end before moving it to his other hand where it joined the bundle he was creating. 

“What about freesias?” He turned to Nana, who was busy trimming the tips of a vibrant bunch of stocks; bloody shades of magenta and royal purple filled the wooden table in front of her before she obscured them with a blooming bunch of pastel-hued dahlias. 

“Freesias?” She turned to look, eyes roaming over the pink petals which protruded above his hand. “What do they mean?” She asked with curiosity, watching as he leaned forward to open a little booklet the florist had provided to help with their work. 

He squinted at the text, holding his half-finished bouquet away from the table to prevent it from dampening the paper. “Freesias…” Mumbling to himself, he found the explanation and recited it with a grin. “Innocence and thoughtfulness.”

“I’m not so innocent…” Nana teased, making him laugh. 

“But you’re very thoughtful…” 

Her smirk turned to a soft smile and she fingered the petals lightly. “I like them. They go with the camellias…”

“Okay.” He exclaimed eagerly, taking a few more stems from the row of clear vases at the back of the table and arranging them loosely among the others he held tightly in his bunched fist. 

The tinkling sound of a beaded curtain being drawn back caught their attention, and they spun around to meet the gaze of the young female florist in the doorway. 

“Is everything okay in here for you?” She asked politely. “Can I get you any more varieties?”

The couple exchanged a look and shook their heads. 

“I think we have everything we need thanks.” Hoseok replied. 

“Okay. Do shout me over if you need any help.” Turning to Nana, the woman smiled. “And happy birthday.”

“Thank you.” Nana called gratefully, watching as she disappeared back the way she came. 

“Are you enjoying your present?” Hoseok asked hopefully, reaching for a green ribbon to wrap the stems in his hand. 

“You know I am…” Her hand found his. “It’s much better than last year…”

“Didn’t you like the care package I sent?” He asked with a small laugh, making her shake her head. 

“I loved it…” She reassured. “I just mean, I get to spend time with you…”

“Oh...that is a good present!” He joked and she nudged him in return. Calming down, he pointed towards the remaining vases of flowers, separated by type. “Maybe I should make some for Jeong-sun? For next week.”

Nana smiled kindly. “I’m sure she’ll have her own…”

“Oh. I guess.” Hoseok pondered this for a moment, coming up with a new idea. “I could make a corsage...for my lapel!” 

“Perfect.” She grinned. There was a pause between them, as she cut off a strip of purple ribbon to match her bouquet and wrapped it delicately around the bunched stems. “Did it surprise you?” She eventually asked.

He raised his eyebrows. “Yoongi and Jeong-sun?” 

“Mmm.”

He grew quiet for a moment. “No.” He admitted truthfully. “Not really…”

Finishing the knotted bow, she dropped her flowers in the empty vessel in front of her. “Do you like mine?” She held out her hands, framing the finished piece.

He looked over the dizzying blossoms with approval and nodded. “Are they for me?”

“If you want them.”

His lips widened in a brilliant grin. “Of course.” He picked up the booklet once more and flipped through the pages, trying to match the images to the bundle in her vase. “Dahlias…” He recited. “Demonstrates the lasting bond between two people…”

Looking up, he observed her warm blush and continued, turning over a couple of pages until he found the next picture. “Lavender rose...this is interesting…” He paused, clearing his throat a little dramatically. “Enchantment...love at first sight…”

“Is that so?” She laughed softly. 

With a nod, he pointed to the book. “That’s what it says…” His gaze once more fell over the arrangement, picking out the final two flowers. “Stocks, meaning lasting beauty, bonds of affection and a happy life…”

Matching his smile, she leaned in and pressed her lips lightly to his cheek. “They seem pretty perfect for you. And the pink carnations?” 

“Carnations…” He murmured under his breath, seeking them out. 

“They’ll be with the other mediterranean flowers.” She suggested, reaching forward to wrap her arms around his waist and peering at the booklet from over his shoulder. 

“Ah!” He exclaimed, finding what he was looking for. “Pink...A mother’s love…” His voice trailed off as they both burst into laughter, her grasp on him tightening as she hugged him close, rocking the back of his body softly against hers. 

“I guess they couldn’t all be right…” She shrugged. 

“Three out of four isn’t bad.” He agreed with a grin. “At least you’ll get another vase to add to your collection, as well as the flowers.”

He felt her nod against his shoulder before she pulled away to face him. “I might learn how to cast bronzes, so I can keep them forever.”

“Oh!” He exclaimed, teasing a little. “Another string to your bow.”

“Shut up.” She grinned, meeting his lips in a kiss.

You’re Safe (Part 2)

This was actually requested by @btsfangirl1999 , and I was more than a little excited to continue this small blurb! Thank you guys!

Parings: Bts & Sister! reader

Warnings: Mentions of PTSD, Mentions of anxiety, Mentions/brief showing of abuse, I think one curse word (Please don’t read this if you get triggered by these sorts of things ;; )

Summary: You thought you were safe from the man you once called your boyfriend, but after 3 weeks of peace, he shows up yet again. This time, though, your brothers are there to protect you.

It had been 3 weeks since you were reunited with your brothers, and you felt more free than you had in god knows how long. They let you have privacy, and you wanted this to last as long as it could. You knew, however, that your boyfriend (now ex, as Namjoon had texted him to tell him it was over) wouldn’t let you get away like that without a scratch. 

Jin and Hoseok had left to get a pizza they’d ordered, Jungkook and Taehyung were playing Overwatch, and the other guys had to get some work done before coming home for the afternoon. You sat in the living room, watching your youngest brothers squabble for 1st, when the doorbell rings. 

“Yah, n/n, can you get that?” Tae asked, groaning only moments later as Jungkook got the final kill. You chuckle to yourself as they start to argue about whether it was fair or not, walking through the kitchen to the entryway. Their house was huge, and you knew the main floor well by now. You still got lost trying to find your own room, though- 

You open the door, expecting Jin or Hoseok, but instead, being met with a face you had almost begun to forget. Bf/n. “Miss me, y/n?” He grabs your arm, roughly tugging you out of the house. Shocked to the core, you let out a soft whimper, trying to shield yourself and pull away.

“Leave- leave me alone-” You tried, your voice stronger than it used to be, and he scoffs. You stared up at him angrily to try and hide your growing panic, before your head whips to the side, a stinging pain growing on your cheek. 

“You’re still my fucking property, I can’t believe you just left me like that. How could you be so heartless?” He growled, his grip tightening around your arm. Your heart was pounding hard, your vision blurring with the beat. You were trapped and your brothers couldn’t save you. “Remember who you belong to, Kitten.” 

A shiver of disgust and pure terror flowed up your spine, and you began to try and pull away more, but he wouldn’t let go. He wanted you back for some reason, and you wouldn’t be able to do shit to stop him. This thought brought more tears to your eyes, and he only laughed. He enjoyed seeing you in pain, and loved watching you cry. He begins to open his mouth, but is interrupted.

“Excuse me, I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” A cold, harsh tone brought you back to your senses, and at first, you thought it was bf/n. It was Namjoon, with Yoongi and Jimin. If looks could kill, you knew the man holding you would be dead. 

“I’m just getting what’s mine and going. Come on, y/n.” Bf/n’s voice carried an unspoken threat, and you were trembling. You definitely had PTSD from your time with him, and it was causing you to lock up. If you didn’t escape this soon, you were scared you may pass out. Your head was already racing, and tears swam in your eyes. 

“No..-” You managed in a very soft voice, and his hand raises to strike you. You try to shield yourself yet again, but unlike the first time, this one never came. Slowly opening your eyes, you could see Yoongi grabbing his arm harshly and throwing it to the side. Yoongi had been more than a little pissed to find out how bf/n had treated you, so seeing it in person was bringing his anger back all too quickly. Namjoon lands a solid hit to bf/n’s gut, and he doubles over. 

Jimin takes your hands and gently (but quickly) pulls you back into the house, leaving your older brothers outside to take care of things. The moment the door shut, you began to sob, it being too much for your mind. Tae and Jungkook run in, their eyes wide once seeing you. “What the- Y/n, what happened?” Tae asks, before seeing Jimin shake his head and mouth, ‘Later’. Jungkook stood there, becoming more and more angry by the second. 

He gently pushes past you, stepping outside and marching up to your ex. Tae and Jimin help guide you to the couch, and you held your knees to your chest the moment you sit. Everything was fuzzy and you couldn’t breathe, Jimin attempting to help calm you by rubbing your back, and Tae was softly talking to you as an attempt to bring your mind to the present. 

Slowly but surely, your breathing came back, and you slumped back, exhausted. The door opens, and you jolt upright, but it was just your brothers. Yoongi looked pissed still, while Jungkook seemed almost nervous. Namjoon approaches you, and crouches in front of you. “He won’t bother you anymore, I promise. And if he does..” He swallowed thickly, and you just nod a little. 

You were still extremely anxious, but too exhausted to do anything. “Thank you guys, I didn’t-” You choke a little, and Jimin rubs your back a little. “I didn’t know what to do.” You were still shaking a bit, but not nearly as bad as you had been. Yoongi nods, while Namjoon smiles a bit.  “You don’t need to thank us. This is what family is for.”  

The door opens, and after a few moments, Jin and Hoseok walk into the living room with a few pizzas. Taking a look at your tear-stained face, Hoseok immediately asks, “What did we miss?”
