Maldives Getaway
Maldives, the first word that comes into our minds is "EXPENSIVE". Well it is considering that it is an island where transport of goods are slightly harder. However,it is not impossible to travel on a budget and get the most out of this Island. Since my Boyfriend and I are on a long distance relationship :(, We decided to have a trip of a lifetime. Instead of him going to London, where I am currently residing, he suggested to just have my dream vacation earlier than what I planned. (AND WHO WOULD SAY NO TO MALDIVES, RIGHT?!) And so, as excited as I can be, I started planning our trip and making our own Itinerary. -- Just a good suggestion, since there are already too many blogs out there you can easily have a DIY itinerary to avoid getting a travel agent, which can cause you a bit more money than doing your own. Firs stop is getting a budget airfare, from the Philippines there are a lot of very cheap airfare tickets going to Maldives, but just don't expect to get a direct flight because there are no direct flights from Philippines; but a 6 hours layover is not that bad if you're travelling with family friends or loved ones, isn't it? From London, what I got is quite expensive since our trip fell on a holiday, expected that airfares are really high that time. I chose Sri Lankan Airlines- 10hours long haul flight, since there are no direct flights as well, so I needed to suffer the long and dreadful layover alone.
