He has come a long way but Buck’s still Buck.

He heard his best friend is moving out and the first thing he did was to help him find a suitable place for him. He didn’t object or tried to change Eddie’s mind.

He just helped her pack her bags and dropped her at the airport.

He dismissed whatever he was feeling until Eddie looked away.

Until the minute that she turned her back to him and walked into the airport.

He has come a long way but… Buck’s still Buck.

Eddie asking another married couple he knows about how to deal with Buck, who he is living with, is the same vibes as "where's Karen?" "oh, she's coming later. Where's Eddie?"

So I just noticed something in that last Buddie scene of 8x09...

Eddie is exactly in the same spot he was in when Kim cosplayed Shannon in 7x09. Same with Buck being in the same spot as Kim in that episode and both pairs hugged in the same spot. Both with Eddie having tears in his eyes. Only in 7x09 he was so unhappy and angry with someone he loved and in 8x09 he felt joy and happiness and was grateful towards someone he loved.

Seems that the parallels are paralleling again. 🤷‍♀️😋

Eddie is finally letting go of the hurt and anger he has carried around for years now and he is finally embracing joy. Just so happens that his joy comes in the form of a big strapping man who has been his very best friend since the get-go.

It's all coming together now. 😏😌
