Buck: I know it’s late as hell to be on your doorstep, but…
Eddie: It’s only 8:00 P.M. I’m assuming Maddie has Theo. And what do you have in that book-bag? A gun?
Buck: No. Cookies.
Eddie: Why the big bag then?
Buck: Because now I have a 5 year old in the house who has a sixth sense for my baking and immediately goes to steal what I make. So I have to hide them. Which stresses me out. So then I bake more.
Eddie: Don’t tell me that entire bag is filled with them.
Buck: Told you. Stressed.
Chris, from his room: ARE THOSE COOKIES I SMELL?
Eddie: Dear god, both of our kids have a sixth sense for them.
Buck, sighing: At least this one won’t bounce off the walls after one cookie.

Eddie is gonna spoil Theo ROTTEN if only because he loves doting on a little kid again now that Chris is a moody teen
Y’all say Buck won’t be able to say no to the kid, but Eddie? He’ll be throwing cookies at that boy
I just know Ramon Diaz left Eddie just like this
Eddie: Buck is acting off...you know what that means?
Chris: you're going to take me to him and hover off to the side looking on fondly?
Eddie: ...do we do this-
Chris: every time since I was like 7, let's go.
Yknow what I really want in season 9?
A callback to the beginning of season 2 episode 4 where it showed Eddie and Chris going through their morning routine. I want them to do that again, except throw Buck in there too!
Show how their morning routine has changed both over the course of 7 years, but also, how it's changed (and how it hasn't) since Buck became a part of it

Pepa inviting Eddie, Chris and Buck to the Day of the Dead festival... Eddie brings a photo of Shannon and buys one of her favourite flowers... Buck brings a photo of Bobby and a warm meal to offer... Eddie tells Pepa he's not sure he ever loved Shannon the way he was supposed to... Pepa tells him that the right love is right in front of him, it's just waiting to be seen... we cut to Buck and Chris laughing together... we cut back to Eddie looking like that.
