I used to be like 'dog people are toxic because all they do is talk about dog breeds' but now I have chickens and all I do is tell people what breeds my chickens.

My brother calling the chickens across the yard. They respond to “Here, chick chick!” in a very particular tone of voice.

This seed cake is a great treat and a fun game for chickens! My girls love when I get these for them.

Scarlett and Pearl are molting, hence the bald spots. Poor scruffy girls!

I love animals because they all have their own personalities

I went to walk the dog and so naturally I locked the chickens inside their coop because I can’t protect them if I’m out walking the dog

And when I get back, I go into the backyard and naturally they’re all at the door rattling the wires because the sun’s still out so it’s Still Outside Time

And I bend down to open the door

And of course the smol one makes her cute little “peep peep!” sound

and as I’m basking in that, the very lorge one starts SCREAMING at me very angrily

I just think they’re all wonderful

My chickens: *Are big, very stronk, tough, sharp claws, sharp strong beaks, smart, vicious, scary, will rip you apart with their talons, descendants of dinosaurs and it SHOWS*

Me, holding them so their legs dangle down and swaying them from side to side: BABY!! fluffy baby!! big round fluffy butt!! big feet!!
