Xander’s First Outfit: 6/10

It’s whatever, probably one of his better outfits.

Buffy’s ‘Try not to get kicked out’ Outfit: 10/10

This outfit is perfect. I love everything about it!

Cordelia’s ‘I’d kill to live in LA’ Outfit: 3/10

I hate this outfit… the pants are gross and it doesn’t feel like it matches her personality

Willow’s ‘Softer Side of Sears’ Outfit: 6/10

It’s kinda boring and I don’t like the bowling pin, but it’s a great outfit to introduce her character.

Giles’ ‘Into Every Generation’ Outfit: 5/10

It’s basic Giles. I don’t have much to say.

Buffy’s ‘Seize the Day’ Outfit: 4/10

I don’t understand why she would wear this to a club… it’s a boring everyday outfit and it’s a weird club outfit. I don’t like it.

Okay, so this new Buffy show, is it a reboot or a revival, and based on the information I have a feeling and I hope not that maybe they will scrap S4-7.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Teacher's Pet

My favourite thing about this episode is how it portrays student-teacher relationships. Through Buffy and Doctor Gregory, we see a healthy and supportive relationship between a teacher and a student. That is the way it should be. He is stern but he's also encouraging. He communicates to Buffy that she has value based on her own merit and not on what others think of her. Throughout their conversation Doctor Gregory builds a report with Buffy while also maintaining boundaries. He's still the teacher and she's still the student.

Then we see the entirely inappropriate relationships that Ms. French is making with her students, the ones who are inexperienced and desperate for affection (Xander and Blane). The fact that they literally made her a predator is so perfect and really cements the idea that any romantic or sexual relationship between a student and a teacher is inherently predatory.

I especially love that they demonstrate this harmful relationship with a female teacher. It's easier to spot inappropriate relationships between adult men and teenage girls, but we have a harder time identifying toxic and dangerous relationships between adult women and teenage boys. Teen boys also need to be protected from predators, male or female.

for vampire-themed costumes, you could just wear a puffy surplus jacket and pout a lot to be bella swan...you could also just order a pre-packaged sookie outfit...OR you could be the vampire show heroine most of us grew up with and put together your own buffy the vampire slayer costume!

there are two ways to go with this:

for tv show buffy, just wear all black and buy a plastic machete of some sort from ricky's. helps if the all-black clothes are really late 90's...hip huggers, tank tops, lace-up boots, etc. carry around photo of david boreanaz.

for movie buffy, wear bright workout clothes. bonus points if you have a letterman jacket (i've seen racks of them at forever21) and hi-top sneakers. get a wooden gardening stake from a hardware store. carry around photo of luke perry. (sigh, 90's luke perry is SO HOT)
