Duh, gimana ya. Bukan masalah pilihan capresnya siapa. Tapi dari dulu saya cukup gak setuju dengan boikot-boikotan. Mungkin paling mentok dulu waktu SMA saya pernah ikutan boikot produk-produk yang katanya punya yahudi atau israel. Tapi ya itu, susah. Sekarang enggak lagi.

Akan sangat sulit buat kita memboikot sebuah produk yang dirasa masih punya manfaat buat kita, terlebih jika harganya terbilang ekonomis, dan belum ada produk lain yang bisa bersaing dan mudah didapatkan.

Menurut saya yang pantas diboikot adalah hal-hal yang merugikan orang banyak dan bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai yang kita anut. Seperti rokok dan alkohol yang sudah sejak lama saya boikot buat diri saya sendiri.

Mestinya boikot itu didasarkan atas asas manfaat, bukan kemarahan. Boikot-memboikot sebagai bentuk kemarahan hanya akan menunjukkan sampai mana tingkat cara berpikirmu. Keputusan-keputusan yang dibuat saat marah biasanya akan menuai penyesalan di kemudian hari.

Dan yang kemudian memalukan adalah saat kita inkonsisten dengan keputusan kita itu, di saat akal sehat kita mulai kembali dan kemarahan mulai mereda. Inilah saat dimana kita bisa jadi menjilat ludah sendiri. Kemarin bilang #uninstallbukalapak, sekarang rame-rame ikut serbuseru karena ada rumah seharga 1 milyar dijual cuma 12.000 perak.

Lebih baik, pikirkan matang-matang nilai guna sesuatu yang akan kamu boikot. Pikirkan pula, mampukah kamu hidup tanpanya. Jika ujungnya kamu hanya akan menunjukkan inkonsistensi, lebih baik menepi dulu, jangan terseret arus. Nanti malu sendiri. Preferensi politik mestinya gak mematikan akal sehat kita. Dan mestinya gak mengubahmu menjadi pasukan buzzer yang hanya mengikuti arus.

Kenapa kamu gak sekalian boikot rokok? Merusak kesehatan, iya. Nambahin polusi, iya.

"Tapi kan itu nambah pemasukan negara, banyak juga menghidupi keluarga para karyawan dan penjualnya."

Nah, artinya boikot-memboikot gak segampang bikin #hashtag, kan?

Fokus pada hal yang menjadi objek kemarahanmu. Jika itu gagasan/argumentasi, maka bantah dan boikot argumentasinya saja. Jangan karena argumen satu orang kamu jadi mematikan karya banyak orang. Kenapa harus diboikot?

Emosional banget gak sih boikot-boikot macam itu? Boikot Sari Rotilah, Boikot Travelokalah, Boikot Bukalapaklah. Udah kayak cewek yang lagi marah-marah sama cowoknya, "Ga usah hubungin aku lagi! Ga usah temuin aku lagi! Kita putus!" Terus selang beberapa hari kemudian ngechat, "Kamu dimana?" Eaaaaaaa.

Squishies

Anon, I know they exist, because I’ve found a few Instagram posts and quite a few “help me find these” posts. They were available in pink and yellow - here’s a collection of a few different Instagram photos showing them in both colours - under the name “J-Dream Lizard”. They appear to be extremely rare.

(I did a search for J-Dream squishies on eBay, and they look amazing. No lizards, but plenty of gorgeous, high-quality Japanese food squishies.)

Unfortunately, most of the easily-understood web listings, like this one on Cute Kawaii, are sold out. I’ve found a listing for the yellow one on a website called Bukalapak, but I have absolutely no idea how English-speaking users might navigate this site.

The other listings I found are on a website called Carousell, by two different sellers, both based in Singapore. Again, I have no experience with this site, but it appears as though transactions are conducted through private message/chat. Here’s the yellow squishy (listed as having no defects) and here’s the pink (listed as having two mild cracks).

(Note that there is no shipping information, shipping restrictions or any discussion of accepted payment methods. For people with social anxiety, having to chat with the seller looks like quite a disconcerting way of going about a transaction.)
