I grew up next to the Lower Derwent Valley and do miss the smell of meadowsweet underfoot and skies full of noisy swifts.

A new 2026 Reference Sheet for my gal Bulrush, the MudWing-IceWing "Animus Hunter”. She is a character I made for the Sanguine Sapphires AU RP, which takes place only a couple hundred years after the Scorching and focuses on the creation of Animus magic.

Although Bulrush masquerades as an Empire of Sky “Animus Hunter”, hellbent on destroying Animus Dragons to protect Pyrrhia from this “new magical threat”, she’s actually just a Hive Kingdom spy who has infiltrated Enemy ranks and is on the lookout for Animi she can swoop in to "rescue" and recruit for her King, Abispas’ Secret Wizard Army.

I really like her. Especially in this little drawing here without her edgy rock teeth etc 😭 she’s supposed to be terrifying, but she’ll always just be a cow gal to me
