Non-Dualism is not what you think it is!
Note: Non-Dualism is also just another philosophy that serves as a direct pointer to THAT(yet another label). Or to stay within language, it points towards the negation of everything, including labels, pointers, philosophies, language, etc.
It is not an instruction to be at peace with whatever you are trying to escape from.
It is not a philosophy that posits that nothing matters.
It is also, and I know this might get on people's nerves, not a way to fulfill your desires.
Stay with me.
Let's consider an analogy, though it still doesn't capture the whole truth of this, and is not to be taken as a cue to follow or unfollow any "concepts".
Suppose you own three cars. You don't know that you own two more. You have spent your life driving only this car, and have "assumed"(as you don't know that you have the other two cars, you just took the absence of their view to mean you don't own them. It is understandable or even unavoidable, but you see how funny it is) and desire to get a car—that you already have—in the future.
Now, tell me. Is the knowledge of your having the three cars a way to get a car you lack? No. Is it a way to get what you prefer, at the very least? Not that, either. As if you don't already know how to experience what you already have.
You see how knowing the truth is not a way to get anything, improve your life, etc. So, why is it necessary to know the truth? Well, it assumes it is necessary, which is already false. What do you lose by not knowing the truth? Does that change the truth? No. Does it "change" the experience of it? Sure, but where's the "necessity"? Necessity assumes you lack something and you have to do X to get it. But, there is no lack to begin with.
So, why know the truth? The same reason why you do anything at all. Just for the sake of it. Just because.
When there is no lack, be it shifting realities or begging, they are equally trivial, possible, easy etc. and the reason to do anything would just be.. for the sake of doing. And I don't mean this in the sense of "it is the only pressing thing to do, right now", no. You don't do anything because it is pressing, you do it because doing it is just how experience works. There's a word for this, and desire just doesn't quite cut it. It's "preference". Why do you prefer? Just because, lol.
The moment you see that these existential questions are not really existential, just as pointless as everything else, and thus have no answer whatsoever, that's when you.. that's when nothing happens. You are perfect, already, anyway.
Okay, good. Now, you understand this. GREAT, NOW YOU ARE FINALLY... what you have always been, lol.
Anyway, my pointless point was to make it clear to you that this entire post is just as pointless as me, and just as pointless as you, and just as pointless as seeking, just as pointless as having, just as pointless as nothing, just as pointless as pointlessness, just as pointless as anything else, yes, including pointfulness(meaning you can also see everything as equally meaningful, if you'd like that, but there's no fundamental distinction anyway).
In simpler terms, all these "maybe"s and "must be"s don't exist. "It is" is all that is.
You see why we keep it simple, now? Not because we are afraid of strengthening your ego, or whatever reason you have come up with. Because it is just that simple. We are just excluding unnecessary complexity. And yeah, you can go further and say, just because. But, no fun in that. That's right, now that you see this much, go play with "existential reasons" all you want just for the fun of it. OMG IF I DON'T DO THIS, I AM GONNA LOSE EVERYTHING.... anyways..
Go play with a square circle now. Who's stopping you?
As for "why are things not happening exactly as I prefer, then?", I want you to contemplate on it yourself.
Exemplar Internal Monologue:
“I kept Y out for so long assuming it isn't here, but I see that Y is here, so no point in keeping it away anymore, but I am keeping it away anyway.. out of habit?”
If, after reading all this, you still think there's something to do, something to see, something to understand... then, good job. You are playing the game of lack well.
