Being in any fandom at all will make you question is you're just seeing colour weird because NO ONE will be right about what colour that guys hair is.

Someone remind me sometime in the future to come back here and talk about the casual alcoholism people will write into their fanfiction without even realising that that's what they're doing.

And not to play Dr Diagnose Everybody, but I'm assuming (and I really shouldn't be) it's because people are (possibly) writing from how they interact with alcohol or substances, and (possibly) don't realise that their relationship with substances is not a good one and is very much pointing towards abuse/dependence/addiction.

The number of times I've read a fic with a high functioning (and really this is the best case scenario) alcoholic Sirius and/or Remus is so concerning to me. This isn't pertaining to the fics that intentionally include that as an arc or plot device that "they're an alcoholic due to circumstance or whatever, and slowly work through that over the course of the fic" but more so the ones that don't recognise that that's what this is (alcoholism).

Too tired to unpack it now so remind me to come back to this.

i think it would be fun if mephone went into like. the creative field in some form, outside of hosting..i could see him either being an artist or a writer. either would be fun to me
