If Tenna did get a prosthetic arm, would it have claws? Or is he still scared of hurting people by not being declawed and tame?
I don’t know if he’d necessarily want to be ‘tame’— he definitely swings between lashing out at people and feeling guilty about it, but he also wishes he could go back to the boisterous personality he was before all of this happened. I think that what really bothers him is that he can’t seem to control the lashing out.
I feel like outbursts were fairly common for him in the studio even before chapter 3, but he felt like it only happened when things were going really wrong, and he very rarely got physical, if ever.
Now everything sets him off in one way or another, sends him spiraling into terror or fury or depression.
In that sense, I think that yes, particularly considering he’s panicked and lashed out at people with his declawed hand during repairs, he might not feel like giving himself claws again is a good idea.
So perhaps if it ever occurs that someone is building a custom prosthetic arm for him, and they ask him what should be included…
He doesn’t mention claws.
(But much later on in his recovery, when he’s doing a lot better mentally, he gets a new prosthetic arm, this time with claws. And he gets prosthetic claws for his other arm, too.)
