but carol being a closeted lesbian in self isolation with no community because of her trauma is literally part of the plot. carol performing femininity when in public so as to not cause any rumors about her sexuality and personal life is literally part of the plot. how would her coming face to face with a woman who's not gender conforming, and is comfortable in her own presentation, yet bearing the consequence of social isolation without the burden of betraying the self, not be friendship dynamic worthy of considering?
