M9 Pirate Arc be like:
Fjord roll for persuasion
It’s Thursday Night and it’s a M9 reunion special! So here’s a flashback to the Veth costume I made for MP that has never been worn to a con because it was finished 2 days before Covid shut the world down.
I am so sad because I made the M9 symbol out of buttons for the back of her jacket and no one’s seen it in person ;_;
Buttons
So this was sparked but the Button War thing by @tex-blades and @tolltheundead To get back at Fjord for all of his snarky button comments Nott quietly begins leaving buttons for Fjord to find. At first it’s simple. Fjord finds a button in his pocket every day. Nothing too strange about that. He asked Nott about it but she vehemently denies it (why would she ever share her buttons with HIM!?).
Every day Fjord continues to find a button. Usually in a pocket, sometimes in one of his boots. He comes to expect the buttons, but he has no idea where they are coming from. And this uncertainty about the origin of the buttons begins becomes a constant tickle in the back of his mind.
Then things start to get strange:
He hears something rattling around in his water skin, it’s a button.
He sneaks Jester’s copy of Tusk Love one night (he’s curious) and a button slips out from between the pages.
A bar keep hands him his change after he buys a round of drinks and tucked among the copper coins? Yup, a single red button.
Once when they are fist shown up to their rooms at some inn in some dusty old town, Fjord finds a button placed neatly in the center of the pillow on the bed closest to the window (Fjord always prefers the bed closest to the window).
One day he finds no buttons and it’s almost a relief. But then that night, when he wakes up to take a piss he sees something glinting in the chamberpot. You guessed it! A shiny brass button.
When he nearly chips a tooth on a button hidden in a pastry that the baker JUST handed to him, he nearly has a nervous breakdown. Where are they coming from? Who is doing this to him? Why!? The rest of the group move to console the shaking, stammering Fjord. Nott just sits back and smiles to herself.
BUTTON BEARD!!
