Tell me why was I pronouncing the word "Conspirators" as Conspir-A-tors???? I've been living in a lie
The caption literally translates to: “You’re beautiful, but I have not loved you yet. Who knows about the evening. Just wait.” (x)
Do you like talking in Spanish over English? Or the other way around?
Mmm... gosh I use both all the time lol but I guess spanish, it's my first language and I still translate more words from Spanish to English than the other way around. Of course that I say "how do you say x in Spanish?" A LOT lol but I think I still find spanish a bit more comfortable than English.
never have I been more mad about being stupid in two languages.
tried to say vielen Dank. changed my mind to schönen Tag noch. ended up with .....*drum roll* .... Vielen Tag noch.
why me
random thoughts but
do you think people who speak a language since birth and see posts saying how beautiful it is, get it? Or not, because they're so used to it?
normalize speaking in 'broken [insert language here]' because even after years of speaking a certain language, it can sound weird and different or is grammarly incorrect (due to learning it later in life/not having someone to talk with in that language and getting it wrong and being super hard to right it after you got used to speak it like that)
ACCENTS (people learning a new language and bringing a piece of themselves to it when speaking) (the same language sounding different because of historical reasons and people keeping a little of that history when speaking) BEAUTIFUL
i spent way too many hours reading articles in english that i no longer know how to spell words in portuguese 🥴
11th and 12th (13th too I think) of August are the when the Perseid meteor shower is at its peak timeframe.
I collapsed on 11th so I didn’t even get to see the night sky.
Yesterday I set an alarm to wake me up at 3:30. I woke up but I didn’t get to see the meteor shower. Maybe it’s the light pollution, or maybe it was just bad timing.
But I didn’t get to see the Perseid meter shower overall. I’ve never really witnessed an astronomical event (maybe except for the solar eclipse that happened a few years ago), so I’m hoping that I’d get to see an astronomical event soon.
Are there any tips that might help? Maybe like getting binoculars or seeing a certain event at a certain time to watch the event?
